yea people dont realize the FE series is a powerful phone, way better than the A5x series samsung phones. An dthe trade in value for the FE phone stays strong even 2-3 years later.

you don't need 180 days service, only pay it for the order, 180 days later after activation, you will be able to get unlocked...

I actually like all the moto phones I've had, but the updates or lack thereof keeps me away

In store. Even less likely to find availability in store compared to getting lucky online. They will also rip you off in store with additional fees, taxes and add ons.

Called a local metro store, they have 1 in stock. But the total will be $240 with first month and tax even with port in. Not worth it

See my reply to lailanis up above. My Metro A54 is not the same phone, but that's the norm to get a Metro phone unlocked nowadays.

You could quickly set up a VM with e.g. VirtualBox (free). Just download and install Windows without activating a license. When done just delete the VM with 2 clicks. This way you don't expose your computer to questionable people. It's quite safe even if they install viruses or malware, it's all gone after you delete it. Assuming they need you to connect your phone to your computer, you can attach any connected USB device to the VM as well.
So this is very interesting to me. I'm great with tech. But only at an advanced school teacher level LOL what's vg? I've been so tempted to try to get premature lock codes from marketplaces etc. but could you explain what the process lookd like from the minute i buy thr code from merchant and then what happens? Do I have to have a computer to do this task for sure? If you or anybody could answer this I think it would be so helpful not just to me but many other of us like dealers on here who have the basic technology understanding but just can't comprehend how this happens and want to be able to take advantage of it as well, safely too. So thank you thank you thank you in advance! Smilie

has anyone received the phone ? seems like dual sim phone. Can the other slot be used with another carrier ? if so we dont have to worry about device unlocking. although i see this in faq -
Can my Metro by T-Mobile eSIM capable device support two lines?
No, not at this time. Only one line of service can be activated on a single device.

Question about the unlock after 180 days: do I or better the phone to be in the USA with the sim inserted for this to happen or can I take the phone oversees and the unlock will still happen after 180 days?

It doesn't matter where you are, as long as you have internet connection.
I got one Metro phone unlocked on day 181 when I was on overseas traveling

The phone has 1 physical sim and 1 esim, I am sure both of them are locked to Metro
