Yep. Bought this because I got tired of dealing with gas, transferring clothes, etc.

I was very surprised at how well it worked. But of course, temper your expectations.

You can't FULLY load it. And expect things to dry completely.

I do smaller loads, which is still quite a lot compared to my old GIANT Maytag top loading.

It's quiet, efficient and it's dry when it's all done. The app notifies when it's 5 minutes away from being done. And when it's actually done.

The clothes come out damp feeling but when you expose it to air, it just dries up completely. Weird. But true.

And the clothes are nice and soft. I think the best part is the 32oz of liquid detergent. I set it to auto. And I can do a decent amount of loads.

12-15. Depending on the clothes.

One thing…I did buy a dedicated small battery Ryobi vacuum It makes it easier to vacuum the lint after 1-2 laundry.

Remember. The cleaner the lint basket is. The dryer the clothes come out. So I've made it a habit to just do it every 1-2 loads.

Regular clothes don't produce much lint. It's the blankets, towels and bathroom floor rugs that do.

Just things to consider and think about. I've had it for about 6 months. I'm happy.

I considered putting a second one side by side to do more laundry. Since they do sell a Y site connector for the water intake. But…I'm happy with the one.

I ended up just putting full wall cabinets where the old dry er used to be.
This uses a heat pump to generate heat and remove moisture. So the drying effect is similar to the evaporator in your home AC system, in that it pulls moisture from the air and just sends it to the drain without needing to vent externally. Pretty neat setup, and the reviews I've seen online seem positive about the tech. It also uses MUCH less electricity than a standard dryer. Like 1/4 per load vs. traditional dryer with heating element.
If you are a first responder or government employee, GE offers a 20% discount through their website using ID.me. Their listed price is $2,199, but after the discount shows as $1,759.20 with free shipping (not including your local tax).

Was there an introductory price, or price mistake? The first thread I saw was from costco, with a promotion that overlapped and I don't think it was meant to (ie it got fixed after 1 day).
You are correct. Think it was a price mistake from Costco. The introductary price was $1999 if I am not mistaken.

I will be waiting for Black Friday. Also, remember the tax rebate that you may be eligible for as part of the IRA law. You may get up to $500+ back. https://www.irs.gov/credits-deduc...ax-credits

Actually, you didnt need to run a new 120v line. There's a 220v Y-cable splitter that gives you 2x120v normal outlets at 15amps. FYI for the future!
I'm not an electrician, but it is my understanding that 220 receptacles do not carry a ground. I wouldn't trust a $3,000 washer to a receptacle that isn't grounded. It was easy enough to run a dedicated 15amp to to the closet for peace of mind.

Fair enough, i think another forum member said to just adjust the 220v line and convert to 120v at the box and outlet.

How do you deal with clothes you can't dry and need to air dry?

That's true. I thought about doing that, but like having the option in case we need a 220 in the future.

Still washes and dries a king size comforter in one cycle. Who cares what random CF that was marketed as "standard"
You said it, that's why it matters and it's false.

One more major advantage I heard of compared to standard front loaders - there is very little chance for mold to grow in the washer gasket. This tends to be one of the biggest complaints of front loaders due to the air tight seal and water remaining in the gasket. The dryer in this machine dries everything out so there is very little chance for mold to grow.

Are you washing like two t-shirts on 'Light Soil' mode or something? When I do a full wash on a standard top loader and gas dryer, it takes about 2 hours, if not longer (Dryer vent was just serviced, so nothing wrong there).

This is no lie, with a load of whites for me with just white t-shirts and sport socks from a full week is slightly over 1hr on normal cycle, which is all I use. Its not a full load, but I separate colors.

So tempting, but going to hold out in hopes that black friday brings same price but with a free base.

i can't even find the base on costco's site. GFP1528PTDS

I'm crazy tempted. it is $20 cheaper through my employee benefits program right now, and there's a $30 rebate for my county electrical provider. I hate my current washing machine and think i might be able to get between $250 and $400 for it with the pedestal. maybe another $150 - $200 for the dryer and its pedestal if i'm lucky.

that would make swallowing this deal a LOT easier for sure, but the pedestal from GE costs like $260, and then there are some fees bringing a total closer to $2300 in total. I got a new oven, dishwasher, and overhead microwave for that cost. just 2 years ago.

i WISH i had caught on to that intro price/price mistake. that extra $300 seems MIGHTY fine all things considered.
