Ordered Iphone 15 PM rebate deal after doing some quick math, considering 12-month period,

Redpocket Rebate deal $1,199 - $100 instant discount + $20/month*12- $200 rebate = $1,140 (extra bucks for potential trade-in to decluttr, YMMV)

Redpocket unlocked deal $1,199 + $11.5/month * 12 = $1,337

Mint Mobile deal $1,199 + $86 tax + $90 first year discount + $18 recovery fee = $1,393

I don't think T, A, V would have trade-in deal for 12 months. And I don't think there gonna any lower discount than this iphone 15 PM rebate deal from other retailers during the BF.

Whose network do they use so that I can assess quality of their service in my area?

My math was as follows

Buy unlocked and use US Mobile unlimited plan:
1099 + 25*12 = 1399

Red Pocket unlimited plan:
1099 - 200 - 100 + 40*12 = 1279

Difference would have been 120 less with RP, but to have to deal with Red Pocket's horrible cell service and customer service, it wasn't worth for me.

So, PASS.

Red pocket is an MVNO. If you're using a SIM from the provider that sells them their network, it will work. Doesn't mean it's unlocked.
You can check if the iphone is locked or not in the settings. I bought 2 phones from visible (mvno) before, they both came locked, and got unlocked after two months. The iphone from red pocket came unlocked right away. It says 'no SIM restrictions' in the settings. It does mean that it is unlocked.

They have reasonable plan but the only issue is the bloody lock that you can't get out of which is a bummer for me that travels overseas quite a bit...

Only $40/month is considered unlimited for the rebate? Or $20/month plan works too? It would have been sweeter if such offers come for CDMA (vzn). They will unlock phones in 60 days.
Qualifying monthly plans start at just $20/month on our GSMA network.

Don't waste your time, they won't unlock the device even after 12 months service. Mine's still shows carrier lock under settings, even after submitting written unlock request and receiving "unlock" confirmation.
If you've fulfilled the 12-month lock policy and are therefore eligible for unlocking, we will certainly honor it. So your comment raises flags on our end. Please connect with our team at [email protected] so we can investigate.

Not just service, service is hit or miss based on where recipient is located. But, the flexibility of using unlocked device outside of us is unbreakable . Now, someone else had RP unlocked their device but we cannot consider one mans word as we have double the numbers saying they were unable to get the device unlocked.

Locked to GSMA for 12 months. Too much risk if you don't know whether you get good reception from AT&T for your area.

Not excatly. My understanding is you'll need to stay with GSMA for 3 months to get the rebate, after that you can switch to GSMT otlr CDMV as long as you stay w Redpocket up to 12 months

CS at Red Pocket specifically said the phone will be locked to GSMA for 12 months because I asked about what if the network doesn't work for me.

Hello mobile @ 10/month is what my son is using. if I can find an ATT MVNO at the rate, I would prefer to switch Smilie
Red pocket has a $10 / month plan and even less. Just depends on how much data you want to pay for.
