I would never buy a Vizio Sound bar again. Nonstop issues, audio cuts out. Need to restart both TV and sound bar. Turn on TV, sound bar not detected etc. I have a Sony TV, maybe it is just incompatible.

Highly doubtful. You can use a 120hz tv with eArc to this and should be fine. That's what I do on my Samsung Soundbar.

2020 model that is great for however long they last. This model year had power supply issues, ask me how I know. BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY.

I've got a 5.1 vizio soundbar from 2 or 3 years ago. The thing cuts out when playing certain video files. Seems like a common issue, as other reviews mentioned putting the thing on a smart plug so they could restart without having to walk over and unplug-replug (which is what I've done).

It seemed like this issue impacted multiple models. Is this one any better? Replacing mine is on the list for this year.

Ditto!!! I bought this from Costco, got frustrated with the persistent cutoff issue and finally gave up and returned. (Then got an LG that is doing ok but has its own issues of disconnects from woofer)

Have the same soundbar. From my experience, the issues come from HDMI CEC. If not for that, it's a pretty awesome soundbar for the price.

Same. Worst money I've ever spent. Have to power cycle it a few times a week to get it to work (by yanking the power cord, as none of the buttons or remote work when it stops playing audio). It sounds good when it works, but it's SO not worth the frustration. Honestly, I think I'll be happy the day it gives up the blue smoke and won't turn back on.

edit: TV is a Samsung.

If this is old stock, I would be very weary. Just like others, I purchased this from Costco a few years ago when they just came out for either 200 or 250. I had to return two of them. Both displayed the same behavior. They would randomly turn off until one day they won't turn on at all. They are excellent when they are working. If this is the revision and are stable, this is a no brainer, frontpage deal.

I got this exact unit from sams, 2 years ago on a bf deal and it's been amazing ever since. I do have it paired up with a Vizio tv and i did have the courage to do the painful firmware update process (you have to use a usb stick and button sequences and all that) but i would highly recommend for a budget atmos setup. it sounds great and works great with Vizio tv's. Ive never once had a hiccup where it lost touch with the tv. Im using e-arc.
