I think all the alloys in this price range (milwaukee shockwave, makita xps, dewalt maxfit) are roughly the same in my experience (mainly deck screws), so I usually just shop for which set has the pieces I like/want/use most.

especially when they are priced this aggressively (they're a wear item).

That milwaukee set is good too, and if you're already in the packout system then even better.

for $20 I dont think you'll be angry with either set.

Decent set, I wish that the makers of these sets would make ones that include alot of 2" bits. So tired of the 1in ones as they don't play well with the holders on the impact.

The two long bits at HD sell for $7 each- also like the hex bits included as most sets don't include them…

How are these at folding up the holders? The Milwaukee ones I have are way too tight.

This set is one of very few ways to get a Medium ToughCase+ that has bit holders on both the lid and the yellow base.
The Medium ToughCase+ sold separately and the ones with most kits only have the bit holders on the yellow side.
So with this you can pretty much hold twice the bits as an ordinary Medium ToughCase+

Way easier. The Milwaukee ones I have to use pliers sometimes and some things like the bits will just cut your fingers while trying to pull them out. These are snug but not overly tight..

(sigh) I tried to rationalize the need for this, decided I didn't really need it, then bought it anyway.

It's like an addiction.

Something I've "discovered" recently is to use a bit holder (screwdriver style) to stick on the bit and wiggle it around. It will loosen up the plastic and make it easier to get them out in the future. Just don't be too aggressive since you could make them too loose.

does anyone know if either this or the 120 piece set linked above somehow snap into / integrate into the TOUGHSYSTEM tool boxes?
