Im sure I'll regret asking but.....Im looking for something to travel with so I dont have to take an expensive laptop. I have already ordered a Samsung s6 lite 128gb for $207 with pen. Besides the 4gb ram vs 8 gb ram any thoughts? Difference in updates, quality etc.... Is there a good comparison site? I've found some but they dont go too deep.

I feel your pain with the iPad. Try the Orion browser. It has ability to install Firefox and chrome addon's but I don't think it works right ..yet. However the builtin adblocker blocks nicely it seems, and you can run that along with ublock Firefox extension (chrome version is very glitchy)
Weirdly enough, Safari ad blocker add ons works great for youtube on my iphone, but you have to refresh EVERY video to get it to load. It's a pain in the butt. But I just want to open one thing and full access to youtube. My current setup is just using my Steam Deck in full screen mode with ublock origin in firefox. its cumbersome

Purchased this with the keyboard to replace my wife's Tab A8. Just went to Best Buy to see the screen in person and it looks great for the price. Ended up being about 312 after tax. Used coupon code EXTRA5 for 16 off and extra 15.20 off for being medical professional.
did yours ship?

Nowhere. Occasionally BB will have openbox around $300 when on sale. Duet 5 is 13.3 1080p but oled.

Just an FYI. I have owned multiple OLED and IPS LCD tablets in the past. The difference is night and day. Once I got used to OLED tablets, I couldn't go back to LCD. Some of the LCD displays (s7 for example) are better than others (S7 FE is way worse), but OLED is just so much nicer to consume media. LCD is better for reading fine text as most of the OLED panels don't have the best subpixel placement for sharp text.

Also, it's not just the contrast that is a huge plus with OLED, it is also the viewing angles. Some of the LCD tablets I have owned like the S7 FE had terrible viewing angles where the brightness or colors would shift when viewed slightly off axis. It was bad enough that I immediately sold it. Very happy with my P11 Pro Gen 2 so far. It's OLED panel is not as good as the ones on the flagship Samsung tablets, but a huge step up from LCD panels. I also got the 128GB for around $260 shipped a while ago, and no other tablet compares to it at that price in terms of display quality.

Seems like a great deal. I bought a p11 pro gen2 last week for a bit over $300 (plus tax) straight from lenovo, I prefer the p11 since it has an OLED screen but to be honest I doubt most people, including myself, would be able to tell the difference between the OLED screen on the p11 and the IPS screen on the p12. I wouldn't even be shocked if people think the p12 screen is better although I don't have both so no clue.

No doubts that you can enjoy better images/video on high-end tablets like Samsung S9 series since those have AMOLED screen. I have owned Samsung Tab S7, then Tab S8 Ultra, now Tab S9. I decided to go with Tab S9 from Tab S8 Ultra for more compact and AMOLED and because last year Samsung did not have AMOLED screen on S8 but S8+ and S8 Ultra. Now with the new Tab S9, they have AMOLED screen on it. For me, the ultra screen is too big for a tablet, it is even bigger than my 14" laptop, thus, it's no longer a tablet for something on the road or compact.

Now I also have a Lenovo Tab P12 which has been newly released around the same time with Samsung S9 series (late-JUL 2023), I like it very much for the screen and the purpose of my use. I mainly use it to take notes during meeting and watching Youtube video when I do some at home work-outs. Occasionally, I check email, check the surveillance cameras on it. Note taking has been great for me since Lenovo offers free Nebo which is as great as Samsung Note, but Lenovo also offers some other great programs free of charge. The 12.7in screen on Lenovo Tab 12 is similar to a standard and letter size paper, plus this tablet has all functionalities I need. The best thing I had it is at $192 compared to the Samsung Tab S9 is at $800 (which I also own currently).

BLUF: I now use the Lenovo Tab 12 more than Samsung Tab S9 while I mainly use my laptop and PC for works. This is just my experience, it's up to your choice of spending your money.
