I found an Embody while garbage picking five months ago and other than replacing the hair-clogged casters with $16 rollerblade style wheels and cleaning up the plastics, it's fine though the fact people pay nearly two grand for them blows my mind. I also had severe shoulder and neck pain within 10 minutes of sitting in it until I learned to position it LOWER than you'd think ergonomic.

I never know what size to buy. I'm 5'11. Size B is for 5'2 to 6'. And Size C is 5'10 to 6'6. They're both in my range so do I size up or go with size B??

I agree. They last forever and clean up nicely. Plus there are spare parts readily available. Aerons even have a large market of non-OEM parts available, which no matter what people say are just as good.

I purchased a used Aeron for $100, cleaned it, and then it just needed a touch of paint on the ends of some of the legs to look almost new. I have another one I found in the street with a broken seat pan. I bought a new pan (non-OEM) on eBay for $120 and it is every bit as good as the brand new I have at the office.
Do you have a way of finding part numbers? I have a HM that needs a new hydronic cylinder on the bottom and I can't seem to find the part number or dimensions of it to even find a non-OEM replacement.

Also YouTube makes it seem super easy to swap out with a mullet but man, mine is on there tight! Gave it a few swings and it has not budged one bit to remove the current one.

WFH here. Bought the Embody gaming chair and worth every penny. Only thing I wish it had was a head rest. Third party companies sell them though so it can always be added down the road.
As someone mentioned, get Atlas Headrest. It's 100% worth it.

Just a positive note on HM. My Embody after ~10 years started to make a clank when I leaned back. It was easily an issue I could live with, but it was still under warranty so I reached out. They gave me a brand new chair delivered for free after sending just a video.

I fit in both sizes but I prefer the size C. I own both. The B will feel more fitted while the C will let you move around a bit in it which I personally prefer.

Also, if you do want a B...I would just check Facebook or CL. B chairs are pretty common since I guess that's what all the offices buy.

Before you spend $800+ on a chair I would recommend going to a local office supply store or retailer that carries HM chairs and sit in them first. I was about to buy an Embody but after sitting in it I didn't like it much. I sat in the Aeron and liked it far more.
