Speaking of which, I would 100% buy Typing of the Dead on Switch. Nintendo Switch natively supports USB keyboards.

Bring it, Sega. Got a $20 for ya right here.

This was great on the Wii. Why is it bad with joycons?

I've read this is terrible because no light gun? Any direct experiences fellow SDers can share?

No light gun but u can switch between either using the motion controls with the joycons or u can move the cursor using the joystick so there's 2 options

Probably a fair price for this one now. It's a really short experience (under an hour) with limited replayability, and controls aren't nearly as good as the original light gun (but they are passable). It's fun with a friend though and the updated graphics are well done. HotD2 is much better though. Hopefully the remake actually gets released, might be vaporware at this point.

It will never touch the pièce de résistance typing of the dead.

I bought this a while back. It's a game you play for a few hours and never touch again. Unfortunately the joycons kinda suck for this. It doesn't feel as good as a light gun, the accuracy is not good since it relies on gyro, and nintendo never bothered to make cool accessories like they did for the wii where you can slot in the controller. Unless you are a huge house of the dead fan, I would pass on this.

It uses the gyro from the controller to aim, not sensors like the Wii had. With that, I've heard the joycon accuracy is pretty horrible, although the Pro Controllers gyro actually works better, but still not ideal. Basically it's not great without a light gun, which it doesn't support.

Typing of the Dead is actually considered Abandonware now and you can download the ,iso for free if you Google it. You might be able to somehw sideload it onto the Switch if you have the original model, but it definitely works on a PC. I downloaded it like a year ago, it is still a fun experience.

I picked this up when it was on eShop sale for around $20. The motion controls on the joycons as a substitute the lightguns works fine. I also saw complaints about this online but to this day don't really understand them. It's not 100 as accurate as lightgun aiming but it's damn close enough that I have no complaints.

Any gun shells for the joycons?

Sega needs to bring their light gun games into VR. Probably will sell a ton.

I still have a Dreamcast and 2 keyboards somewhere just for Typing of the Dead. Too bad Samba de Amigo never really worked right if you're over 6ft tall. Dreamcast, what a great swan song for Sega hardware...anyone else want a Dreamcast mini with Soulcaliber, Crazy Taxi, Tony Hawk, Sheamue, that weird talking fish game...

Tokyo Highway Battle, Jet Grind Radio...
