These are usually subsidized (or insta rebate?) by your local utilities company and so the promotion will be regional.

Will help if you share which Costco you saw this at, though I am waiting to see if they run the same promo for the recessed led that they carry.

FYI I did chat with a rep, maybe last year, to see if they can find out if any Costco near me are running this promo and the answer is a very straightforward no.

I used to live in OKC and OG&E would do these specials but seemingly only in Costco. I felt it was a great "secret sale" where I could rack up vs if it was in say Walmart or HD

Like has been posted, these are subsidized by your local utility company.

For example, where I live PG&E does the subsidies at Costco and other places.

You need to list your location and utility company.

I bought the BR60 versions of these Feit at my Costco a few years ago for around $3 for a 6 pack. Then we moved and all our recessed lightings are in the LED housing, not the old canister style. Wish I had bought the regular A19 style, so at least I could still use them in a floor lamp.

These are soo good that you can change the shade of light and are dimmable.
The earlier bulbs that I had even though indicated as dimmable used to flicker or turn off after one level of setting. This bulb is excellent that they dont flicker nor turn off if set to low level dim setting
