I have used the same Hydroflask for 10 years and it has zero rust, no metallic taste (try cleaning it regularly?), and insulates just as well as when I bought it.

Might pickup a newer one to have a 20oz. My only issue is that the lid is a pain to clean and keep cleaned.

I got this last time too. The lid is really annoying to clean properly by hand. The lid breaks down into 3 pieces (top lid for lips, bottom lid for top piece and container body, and rubber filling between the top lid and bottom lid). You have to wash all three everything you use it

If you run dishwasher everyday, this is no big deal. If you hand wash, it will take few minutes.

Compared to the Zojirushi bottles, these are a cake walk. I stopped using those because it's a pain to clean and small parts. I have 1 bottle left and hope it gets lost or breaks.

Are you sure you're using this product? I've had mine for 5+ years, using it for both hot and cold drinks and no issues with rust or metallic taste.
