Great speakers in the $300-$400 category. These will work best with a subwoofer to round out the sound.

These are on sale at multiple locations. They have gone down to $300 several times before, last time was in April, but with inflation no clue if they will or not. Crutchfield at least has 60day price guarantee.

Crutchfield also has a referral program for give $20 get $20 if you sign up for a new account with a referral link.

Not sure if this is the new "regular" sale price, but I bought these for $300 3 years ago.

Have replaced them with the LS50 Metas, but around the $300 range, I really liked them.

I would need to drive these off a laptop (when I'm at my desk) and a desktop computer. I have an SVS sub as well. What are some recs for a 2.1 amp/DAC/receiver? I could probably do USB or optical.

Not many good cheap options for stereo amps with a sub out. Depending on your sub's connection panel you may not have to use a sub-out to connect the subwoofer. Here's a good guide [soundcertified.com]for connecting a sub without a sub-out.

Buying a used home theater receiver is also a good option if not space limited.

These are fantastic speakers, but regularly drop to $299.

For those asking about amps and on a budget - Im currently running my Q150s off a S.M.S.L SA300, for a computer/desktop system, and couldn't be happier. It is my first "Chinese class-d amp" and had initial reservations (fell into the "no way something so small could drive a medium format speaker and sound good" thought process.). However, I was weighing the small dimensions of the amp heavily (as I had limited space on my desk), and pulled the trigger. I'm completely satisfied with the package and couldn't ask for a better setup for my space limitations. The LOXJIE A30 also comes highly recommended. There is an online article where a true audiophile/reviewer does extensive testing on the A30. He provides actual data that the amp's performance comes close to matching other Hi-Fi class A/B amps priced significantly higher. I ultimately went with the S.M.S.L as it is listed in Amazon Fire's remote profiles and I'm able to control my system like a Sound Bar for streaming (I have a 43" monitor).

Is your SVS powered? FWIW I use the Aiyima https://www.amazon.com/AIYIMA-Bluetooth-Amplifier-Channel-Digital/dp/B09MLPC8X3/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2FMB... [amazon.com]
and have been really impressed with its performance, especially for a cheap Chinese amp. I use it to power a pair of Paradigm bookshelf speakers

Yeah. It's a PB1000. Interesting amp. I'll take a look. Thanks!

there are not too many entry level 2 channel AVRs with sub outs. Here are some to consider:

Onkyo-tx-8220
Onkyo tx-8260
Marantz nr1200Marantz PM7000N

In my defense, I never said cheap or entry-level.

tell us your budget if you would like some more meaningful responses. Yamaha has some really nice units that fit your specific needs, but they are in the $3K+ range. Using an amp that costs 10X the speaker cost is not the best division of funds for maximum performance.

Anyone have any knowledge on how these would compare to the Klipsch RP-600M II (on sale for $329)?

I think best bang for buck would be the A07 + something like the Sonata HD Pro. You could probably get away with the apple dongle but I am running these at loudest with the A07 halfway on its volume knob. The Apple dongle is 1v VS the 2V on my Sonata but it would probably be plenty for near field and might even save your hearing lol.

Bought, should pair nicely with the Denon X1800H I just bought. Now I just need a sub. Anything better at the price point ($450) than RSL SPEEDWOOFER 10S MKII?
