It should add the 12 months on top of whatever you have left over in ur account. I always add my subscription 12-24 months ahead of time.

Thanks for the reply; that's consistent with my understanding. I.e. that the OneDrive app is Microsoft's photo viewing and management app. It's hard to beat Google Photos IMHO. Google does a great job recognizing and tagging faces, and my wife and I use the photo sharing feature so that we can see and share each other's photos. I'd have to figure out all of that with Microsoft OneDrive (if it is even supported).
