Thanks OP. Just traded in my 2020 echo fro $5, but Amazon mentioned that Devices are appraised within up to 10 business days after being received. Your Amazon.com Gift Card + 20% off a new Echo, Echo Spot, Echo Dot Kids Edition, all-new Echo Dot, all-new Echo Show, or all-new Echo Plus will be applied to your account as soon as we accept your device(s).

Not sure will catch up this deal of once they received.

Nice. My 1st gen Show would get the glitchy screen randomly - resets would help but it would come back. Worth it to upgrade.

Just cancel the trade in and try again later. Always some risk when not getting the immediate credit (Amazon may give you credit if the trade is not honored, but I don't like doing this).

The biggest advantage of the 3rd gen is the mic and the processor that it works with. It is much better at recognizing what you say. About as good as the 8. Though the 8 has much better speakers and camera.

It may well be worth $12 to upgrade to the 3rd gen. It is a bit faster as well as a newer processor.
