if you trade your 1st gen echo show 5, the new one will cost you $12.
unfortunately there's no such deal on the show with bulb

Thanks OP. Just traded in my 2020 echo fro $5, but Amazon mentioned that Devices are appraised within up to 10 business days after being received. Not sure will catch up this deal of once they received.

Nice. My 1st gen Show would get the glitchy screen randomly - resets would help but it would come back. Worth it to upgrade.

The biggest advantage of the 3rd gen is the mic and the processor that it works with. It is much better at recognizing what you say. About as good as the 8. Though the 8 has much better speakers and camera.

It may well be worth $12 to upgrade to the 3rd gen. It is a bit faster as well as a newer processor.
