They are great for normal use, but if you looking for a better sound.
Recommend Sennheiser e835, it has better sound than shure sm58.

Also the price difference, I personal own 4 wirelesse mic Tonor wireless and 3 wired one sm58, e835(those model has wirless model but too $$).
The price would tell the difference.

try e835 it is completely different world.

They're fine for karaoke but wouldn't use them for events. I used for an indoor event and had some small dropouts with the mic less than 10ft from the receiver. They're also really directional. You have to train folks to speak directly into the top, not the side which doesn't feel natural.

Sidenote, but I also got a bad one I had to return. It had a loose or short circuit with the battery. When you screwed it all the way together it wouldn't power on. If you loosened it just a little, it worked.

Net result, I wouldn't trust these for any critical application, but fine for casual use

@thetran209 My wife and I got one of the portable charging speakers by Altec Lansing from WarehouseB found here on Slickdeals for $60 shipped, then got the cheapest wireless mic set we could find on Amazon with decent ratings ($30 shipped) with 2 mics and a rechargeable, plug in 3.5mm male jack like here and used it for our wedding 2 weeks ago. Worked fantastically! For under $100 we have 2 mics, rechargeable bluetooth/fm/input jack speaker that we now bring to our weekly sand volleyball games. Highly recommend this approach vs renting for $200+ and not having them for fun later.

The altec lansing soundrover we got was well-heard by our 100 guests at our OUTDOOR venue, and we found the cheap-o Amazon mic set to have better volume than a plug in mic (likely as they're amplified with batteries).

We got one similar to this (they're all quite similar) - rechargeable receiver but AA in the mics https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-M...JSN19?th=1

The speaker we got was this on a Slickdeal for less than half this price: https://www.amazon.com/Altec-Lans...B08W75C5BC

Might be unrelated but.. How does one get a reverb or echo effect on karaoke? I feel like the mics aren't good because I don't get the same echo affect as most if not all karaoke places have? Just seems too plain without it
