These all seem about the same and the one that I have which looks about the same is not super accurate based on boiling temp and a brewers thermometer which is fairly accurate.. mine reads about 3 to 10 degrees f low depending on temp.

That's close enough for some but not for others. For me just to check how close my wort is getting to boil it's close enough. Plus with a small amount of mental math you can get a little bit closer to the actual temp, if you have that much effort available…..

I bought this exact one a couple years ago. Works well for me. Simple point and click for instant reading. I mostly use it when cooking, especially when frying food. I know many people say it isn't accurate for things like that but when I have compared with putting thermometer into the oil I get close reading. A couple degrees off is fine for me. Quick, convenient, and easy to read. Getting another to gift to my buddy.

In for one btw. At $11 it's a no-brainer even if it's off a bit. I can use it to measure the temp of various car parts to see if there's any heat leaks. I recently overhauled my car's entire intake and exhaust systems so it'll come in handy there. Thanks OP.

Hate to rain on the OP's parade but shipping is NOT free on $35+ for this item. I have $45 in my cart and the only options I have are $6.95, $10.95, or free with student Prime.

$35 needs to be shipped by Amazon to qualify for free shipping. This item says it qualifies - check your cart for who is the shipper for your stuff.
