the JBL system is the only TRUE wireless rear surround speakers. Meaning not the fake ones other manufacturers do, where it still has wires connecting to the subwoofer that has to be plugged in. You literally can place them anywhere, are true wireless, and when not in use for a movie that utilize them, they attach to the main bar and recharge
I have this. Got it about 3 years ago. It's pretty good. I have the wireless speakers permanently mounted behind the couch and plugged in to power.
Make sure to turn off smart mode. You have to do it every time the soundbar is turned on. You hold the mute button for three seconds then press volume up. Smart mode on sucks. It makes voices almost impossible to hear.
Also, I get static when using my cell phone near the wireless speaker. I think it's due to interference.
Other than these few little things, the soundbar is great.

How does this compare to the Vizio Elevate 5.4.1? I'm looking at getting a 77" LG C3 soon and need a sound bar for the family room (mostly kids streaming, adult tv streaming and sports).

I'm thinking the same thing. I have the Vizio m512a-h6 which is pretty comparable to the elevate. I need another bar

the bar itself is 5.1 but it has two detachable rear speakers that attach to it/charge from magnets. Both of those rears have a "front" and "top" facing speaker. When they're attached though it's a 9.1 technically.
Had it for 2ish years and liked it a lot (sounded great) but the rears would sometimes cut out for a quarter second (assuming interference from being in an apartment building).
