There's no free return shipping with Monoprice on eBay when it comes to the T6 unless damaged or defective.
I purchased 2 t6 when they were $268 each and a couple days later the price dropped to $168 each then a couple days after that they dropped again to $144 each.
I asked Monoprice on eBay if I could be refunded the difference they said no.
So I'm out $240 because I went with eBay and there's no free return shipping on the encore T6 on eBay.

A similar unit is the Denon PMA800NE with a bit more rated power at it's disposal - but the 85wpc is rated at 1khz so I wouldn't expect it to be dramatically different.
Another option is a Denon AVR like the X3600H if you can find one on the cheap - that benched around 180wpc with 2ch driven.

This is the first time the T6's have been sub $200 as far as I'm aware. They certainly haven't been $118 before. The reason they are going cheap is they are likely selling at cost or near it and I'd guess they are preparing for a new lineup. Speakers are generally marked up about 4-5x from the parts cost.
So since you've heard all the speakers - where are you documenting all of this? It would be helpful to hear subjective impressions of someone who has heard as many speakers as reviewers for those looking into speakers - hopefully in similar conditions not in completely different environments.
Show me a speaker that can match the dynamic range and that can even come close to the low end output and depth of the T6's for $250 using objective data... Until then I'll continue to trust reviewers that have heard thousands of speakers and have data to back it up instead of someone in a forum who only seems to care about subjective listening.
Everyone has different preferences when it comes to sound. Subjective impressions can only go so far, and one day you may hear something different compared to the previous day.
lol how would my subjective impression of two speakers be helpful to you or anyone.
Especially when you only believe "data", those are not the same!
You debating that one speaker "hangs" in sound with another and never even listened to one of them is a perfect example.
I've heard both, based on listening to them I completely disagree with your "data", they do not "hang" or in the same ball park!
I'm willing to bet we could choose 10 random people and have them listen to both and ask which "sounds" better ALL 10 will choose the Arendals and it wouldn't be close.
Again if you want to believe "data" tells how good or bad something "sounds" that is completely your prerogative, I haven't been trying to be "helpful" to change your opinion!
Clearly if "data" did do that for everyone no one would come in these threads and ask which speaker is better/upgrade etc.

You mentioned you had heard the Klipsch RP-8000F's, SVS Prime Towers and Polk ES60's which I would consider to be closer competitors to the T6's and in depth impressions between the various speakers and how each one is better or worse compared to the other would be valuable.
These threads are more valuable than what you have posted so far - it seemed like the only issue you had with them were that they weren't ideal at lower outputs and they are power hungry.

In terms of the distortion measurements - yes the T6's do "hang" with the 1961's. Again - I didn't say the speaker hangs with it overall just said in terms of distortion measurements at 96db. I haven't heard the 1961 tower. Again, I already said that the 1961's are likely the better speaker overall especially in terms of linearity even going by just the objective measurements - I wouldn't expect them to at half the MSRP with sales as low as 1/8th either. I think subjective impressions without objective data is not as valuable which I why I appreciate reviewers that have both - Audioholics went in depth on subjective impressions and backed it up with data on the T6.

The issue as usual, you're trying to combine two different topics, the capability of a speaker, and how it sounds.
No one asked for "data"(i.e. distortion), they ask for the end result, how it sounds.
As I mentioned, I like to keep my impressions as general as I can, because in my opinion, which sounds better, is determined by the listener.
I mentioned that in my original post which you quoted.
IMO "data" is one of the biggest bias when it comes to how something sounds.
This conversation is a perfect example. You're debating with me about how a speakers overall sound that you've never even listened to!
If that's not a bias, I have no idea what one is.
What you kindly omit from your data is often those reviewers say this is my impression you should listen for yourself.
They understand there are major other factors to consider.
I mentioned two, proper placement of those speakers and room environment.
If you're looking for data and or someone to just agree with you, you're asking the wrong person .
I strictly go by the end result, how a speaker sounds.

The whole point of this thread was the T6 had favorable subjective and objective reviews from just about everyone at an extremely low price.
Everyone has their bias - including me of course. I believe the data almost always correlates to how a speaker sounds.
Where this started was the comment on the T6 being a lateral upgrade from the FS52 - it would be like saying the 1961 would only be an upgrade from the T6 if you prefer the sound. We all know the 1961 is the higher quality speaker. I feel the same way about the FS52 vs the T6 - it's simply a higher quality speaker all around - and several that have upgraded from the FS52's agree with that.

That interesting since you said the T6 "hangs" with the 1961 even understanding the higher quality difference.
Not to mention you made the assessment without ever listening to the 1961's!
After reading all the data I did listen to both the T6 and the FS52.
I have no idea what "everyone" thinks but I gave my impression, the end result wasn't obvious like it was with the 1961's! 🤷🏻 ♂️

I know you don't care about measurements but I have to point out what I meant by this (pay attention to 50hz and under):
Encore T6 [dropboxusercontent.com]
Arendal 1961 [dropboxusercontent.com]
Encore C6 [dropboxusercontent.com]
Arendal 1961 Monitor [dropboxusercontent.com]
Then look at something else:
Buchardt A700 [dropboxusercontent.com]
Kef R5 [dropboxusercontent.com]
Regarding the FS51 - it's your opinion and you're entitled to it but you'll likely find that many will not agree.
I'm letting them run for several hours by themselves today just to break them in, then I'll probably run Audessey in the morning and give another listen.
Overall both great speakers especially at these prices.

Do I have to point this out again?
No one asked for objective(data) reviews!
You can easily look that up.
When someone asked for a comparison, I'm pretty sure they are at the end result, what they sound like, pretty straightforward IMO.
What part of "lateral upgrade" made you think it was objective!
Never said I don't care about measurements, they just don't have much value to the end result, how something overall sounds.
If they did I would be able to insinuate the overall sound of something without ever listening to it!
If many disagree no problem here and I wouldn't be surprised.
Often people here give their opinion never actually listening and going strictly by "data".🤷🏻 ♂️

lol I wasn't trying to do anything.
All I did was give my impression from listening to two speakers!
At least we agree on that, let's not.
