Vivo has a nice L-shaped desktop with a rounded corner. It is $229 on Amazon and comes in a few different colors. I have this combination set up and I'm really happy with it. I considered getting butcher block parts and building my own but that's honestly a lot of work and I don't have the time for a project like that.

Hasn't arrived yet. But from my extensive research it should be solid. Especially at this price. I also discovered that most standing desks like this are manufactured at one Chinese company and then re-baged for sale by people like monoprice and flexispot etc. the hardware should be solid but the only worry would be customer service and quality control, which the more expensive sellers might do better.

Edit: I've also seen from other buyers that monoprice does not carry any spare parts, so if something's missing out of the box you might have a hard time. Hoping mine doesn't have these problems.

Hmmm 🤔 I will have to go back and see how big my two karlby tops are from IKEA. That I have currently in an L on two legs per section end. maybe a transplant to a motorized frame is in order...

I've had this kit for 1.5 years, no issues at all. Love it.

I bought 2 x 4' butcher blocks from Home Depot for $100 each. Cut 1' off one and added it to the other and it's been an amazing setup for me.

I bought unfinished butcher block, stained, then put a coat of polyurethane.
