We purchased from the vendor Ultimate Choice (highest review but it does cost a dollar more) due to all the complaints we read at batches of 4 at a time over 3 batches and all12* passes worked. However I ran into the max limitation of 36 months on Xbox Core Game Pass when i redeemed the 12th pass. I went ahead and converted the 11 passes to Ultimate at 3:2 ratio and that brought our number of months below the max limit @ 12/11/25. We then redeemed the 12th 3-month Core pass for the heck of it and it actually allowed us to convert AGAIN! So we tested out the theory, and bought and redeemed a 13th 3-month Core pass to push our expiration to 1/31/26:

Ive heard some ppl have their codes used already and u dont know that until you use em, as far as being able to get a refund. I bought a code tho a minute ago and kinda forgot for around 2-3 months and it was still fine
From normal retailers like Target and Best Buy most likely yes. Sites like this not so much. Normal retailers in the past have sold 3 month GPU codes for $20-$25 for BF/CM.
For those that have codes not working just contact your CC and have them work it out with Eneba or the actual seller. (Not your concern)
It's not a loophole it's called prorating and conversion and sales. Game pass code code on sale, Xbox converts the 3 months to the equivalent of ultimate
