Vizio has no factories or R&D facilities but sublets their orders to 3rd-tier OEMs (for example, Dongguan Ikinor, Guangzhow Lianjie) in China, whereas Tcl and Hisense are the 1st-tier manufacturers with indigenous panel/chipsets factories. It's beyond rediculous to compare a trading company (Vizio) to real TV makers.

There will not be a 70" for less than $399 but you do you!

Its a 70" for $399, at most you may see another $50 less IF you are lucky or extremely YMMV. Typical clowns on here talking about HODL. If you need a 70" then this is a great price. Buy it and enjoy it. Let the clowns keep waiting for something that may or may not happen.

Pay little extra to buy Samsung, LG, Vizio.
TCL, Hisense are just cheap Chinese knockoffs.
So ignorant I don't even want to poke your holes. Almost everything you own has parts manufactured globally. This type of rhetoric just personifies your ignorance.

Turn off the news. Economy is fine. It's all about where you live. In Central Florida real estate is still booming, construction is booming, unemployment continues at record lows. My stock portfolio is doing great, dividends are up. Grocery prices have dropped and we have Kroger delivery and I'm paying under $2 a gallon for as with rewards.
This is funny coming from a guy living in Florida. Trust me when I tell you it's the exact opposite here in California. Everything is sh*t

TCL is complete trash. I had purchased two 50" to go on each side of my 70" Samsung in the man cave. Within a year and half the screen completely fell off from the top of the tv's. When I googled it was a know. Frequent issue but TCL stood by only a one year warranty and said tough luck. Absolute trash TVs and customer service.

Only if prices drop quicker for native refresh rates of 120hz also! I mean computer monitors are already trending that way Wink

Gotcha. I am in the game of predicting things before others pick up on it. Imo we are headed into deflation. something similar to 1980. yes inflation is happening now but it is slowing, if not outright reversing, and soon we should see it negative.
lay off him guys, he has a hot tub 🛀 time machine

Why do you guys all need such a big TV? I think on average the American household owns a 47-in TV. I can't imagine fitting a 70-inch in my living room. Nevertheless this is a great deal so if you really do need something this big then get it. Don't wait till Black Friday because if it's anything cheaper than this it will sell out so quick that you will not get a chance to buy it.

Nah. There will be plenty more opportunities. 65 is in the living room here and 75 goes in the basement. Dunno about the average American math you are presenting.

fun fact....my 2019 65" Samsung cost me 3k.

I thought everybody knew that TCL manufactured the Samsung screens, and then began selling their own? I guess not. LOL. But I guess he can wait for a great American TV company to return, or something. hahahah

Only downside is if walmart ships using FedEx they'll leave this tv on the curbside. Costco delivery will dleiver it to a specific spot and setup for extra fee

Local costco in SoCal had a ton of these TVs last time I was there. It was $450 I believe. I would think the price has room to go lower on a special/non-advertised at least. Still feels high with the other deals floating around, and the amount of stock I saw.

We have seen 70 inch below 399 before....you do you bro

Cheap knockoffs of what? Hisense has the 2nd biggest market share in TV sales GLOBALLY. Are you just anti-chinese? Just say it....
So to be clear, TCL makes pretty much everything in their TVs and supplies a warranty as well as software updates for a number of years.

If you are buying an AIWA or Toshiba, or Hitachi set, those are just old brands slapped on generic TVs with no real software support and such. I'd rather buy the 1st party chinese than 3rd party chinese. So far, 3 TCL TVs in and I am impressed at the value per dollar. Question remains is durability...

No one is complaining. TCL been in the game for years now. Hisense too, I had one running for 3 years basically 24/7. NO ISSUES

But this includes delivery which is very nice since this size basically requires an SUV
