Vizio has no factories or R&D facilities but sublets their orders to 3rd-tier OEMs (for example, Dongguan Ikinor, Guangzhow Lianjie) in China, whereas Tcl and Hisense are the 1st-tier manufacturers with indigenous panel/chipsets factories. It's beyond rediculous to compare a trading company (Vizio) to real TV makers.

There will not be a 70" for less than $399 but you do you!

Its a 70" for $399, at most you may see another $50 less IF you are lucky or extremely YMMV. Typical clowns on here talking about HODL. If you need a 70" then this is a great price. Buy it and enjoy it. Let the clowns keep waiting for something that may or may not happen.

Didn't read the whole thread but I have a 40ish TCL with the Roku built in. It's not bad for what I paid for it to throw in the kids play room but the sound sucks on it. Is this 70" the same way? I don't care much for OLED IpS,WLED whatever picture quality as it will be mainly for the kids to watch their cartoons and maybe play games. But I don't want to have to have the volume up halfway just to hear decent dialog.

Most modern TVs will need that due to how slim they've become. There are physical limitations to speakers, thus, the growing popularity of speaker bars. Personally, I don't mind "turning it up", volume is subjective, so long as I can hear it clearly, it doesn't matter what setting it's on.

Turn off the news. Economy is fine. It's all about where you live. In Central Florida real estate is still booming, construction is booming, unemployment continues at record lows. My stock portfolio is doing great, dividends are up. Grocery prices have dropped and we have Kroger delivery and I'm paying under $2 a gallon for as with rewards.
So I'm also in central Florida and this person is lying.

Yes construction is booming, they're building apartments everywhere which only helps the developer.... Rent is outrageous still, Real estate is actually down from 2022 highs (we spiked way higher than other places due to the people moving here). Gas is 3 bucks a gallon and idk what they're talking about with grocery but a box of cereal is still $6.

Stocks and unemployment are irrelevant since the govt is propping up the stock market with treasury funds and unemployment numbers are a myth, though Florida does have lower unemployment than many other places.

Cheap knockoffs of what? Hisense has the 2nd biggest market share in TV sales GLOBALLY. Are you just anti-chinese? Just say it....
High market share does not equal good quality. They have a high market share because they're cheap.

Can you please elaborate? I haven't had to buy a TV in many years so not really sure what to go with. I would like to upgrade our 55 to thus but unsure due to it coming with Google as I have seen mixed reviews.

And is there a class action lawsuit somewhere that I am missing? Plus Hisense doesn't just make "cheap tvs"

Should I buy an oled for 4x the price or just get this one? It's tempting at $400!

Buy two and save a another $100. Split with a friend or family and it'll cover tax. Only kicker is both need to ship to the same address. Solid price for the size if performance is acceptable.

This is funny coming from a guy living in Florida. Trust me when I tell you it's the exact opposite here in California. Everything is sh*t
Move... I was born in NY in 1962. Bought my first house in Orlando in 1986 for $77,900 because I couldn't afford a house on Long Island. In 1999 I moved to Lake Mary, FL just under 5000 sq ft on over an acre for $290k. In a few years we will downsize and our house will sell for around $1 million. We have no mortgage. We will move to where things are cheaper and live like royalty. It's like the late Sam Kinnison said.. You don't bring food to people in the desert...you move the people to where the food is. Also what the american Indians did--followed the Buffalo. California isn't crap for everyone..I'm in the PC industry and have many friends very happy in CA.

You're a fool. Cereal is $2-$3 a box at Kroger and Aldi --every week. Kroger delivers all over Central Florida. I live in Lake Mary and house price have not fallen. Every home in my area has sold for over asking price, all but 1 in under a week. Gas is $3 a gallon, but Kroger rewardgives me $1 off per gallon and credit cardcash back too. Apartments, condos, houses, roads, stores, all over the place. Wages are up. You can't hire anyone for minimum wage here ($11). If you aren't offering at least $15 to start you are getting convicts and drug addicts. . Stocks are irrelevants--not to me bucko....been investing for almsot 40 years. I buy long term dividend producing stocks..CD rates are over 5% they were 1%. My retirement income next year will be over $100,000 a year and mid 7 figure net worth. I don't buy getrich quick growth stocks. I invest in businesses thet make a profit and low price to book. Economy must be pretty good as a ton of people can afford to drink Starbucks every day. They're building them like coffee is gold.
