Don't use extension cord as permanent wiring. Meaning, extension cord should be used for transient condition, not for day-in day-out usage. ►Reasons: Extension cord is designed for temporary or short term usage. Continuous usage can cause overheating and the insulation sheath to melt and cord to short circuit.
But 220V runs two hot wires and one or two grounds. Depending on how the adapter sets up the wiring, it's possible you're loading one of these wires with double the current that it's designed for. Check your current though.

EDIT: They rate it for 13A, which means they're doing voltage drop off of a 20A rating at 75 degrees for this 100 foot line in their calculations. And they must mean 13A max, not sustained. This is still only 10A sustained loading.
