I personally love LG and Dolby vision, but I refuse to pay more for inferior tech, so I'll try this Samsung out. A lot of people say hdr 10 and dv are not distinguishable.

Also worth notating, this is a gen 2 qd oled panel. Same as the s95c meaning this panel easily outperforms the LG C2 in brightness and colors. I guess the price is lower cause they don't have to pay DV licensing fees.. I wonder how much those are per set?

UPDATE: I CANCELLED MY ORDER!
I went to bestbuy again for the third time in the past 3 days and decided to go with the LG G3. Color accuracy is just better with LG IMO and I don't want to spend hours tinkering and calibrating the Samsung display which may be better, but just isn't dialed in out of the box. Also, I don't think I can live w/out DV... I saw a few comparisons and we are talking about 12 bit color depth vs 10 bit. Their is a difference.

App is glitchy, it's most likely selecting s95c for you.
How to guide:

1. Must have EPP/EDU/AAA
2. Using Shop App, go to page where you can add to cart. Here it defaults to S95C when selecting 77". There is a hyperlink on the right side (above model selection boxes) "Available only with Samsung offer programs ". Click on that
3. Right below SAMSUNG on top of page, you will see the directory (Home/Television Home Theatre/ TVs/All TVs/Oled vs/....) click directly on "/Oled TVs"
4. Look for S90C, click on the size you want (below image of TV)
5. Click buy now
6. You will now have the S90C in the size you chose, and now you can add to cart.
7. If using a Samsung device, swipe down to refresh and you'll have "lucky day" discount. (?Some had success in browsers, or using Samsung browsers)

Have fun with your garbage os and HDR 10 bit vs 12bit Dolby vision. Luckily drinks will be on you with all the money you save 😲💰
12 bit DV.. funny. , signing in etc. . No matter the OS, getting used to ANY new menus is not fun. If you're use to LG, going to Sony will drive you bonkers. Used Tizen? Even going to Google will be frustrating.

I simply take my trusted Chromecast and use that in any new TV. No downloading apps, passwords, QR. I plug it in, and the TV is ready to go, exactly where I left off in each app!

Yeah not sure why people are so picky over OS, if you're buying a $2000+ tv you can probably afford an Apple TV 4K or even my Firestick 4K Max is very snappy

Okay after like two days of trying I was finally successful getting lucky day discount + epp + 2 years of Samsung Care.

I have two iPhones and no matter what I did I could not get the lucky day to come up on the app. I tried two EPP accounts, uninstalling app, refreshing, nothing. I had a random idea and tried it and this is how I got the lucky day to work:

I saw a lot of people were having success with Samsung devices so I went on Bluestacks Android Emulator on Windows that mimics an S22 Ultra. I tried the Samsung app on there but it wont let you log in so I tried the chrome browser on there and signed in to my epp account. On the chrome browser on bluestacks I added S90C to cart and refreshed and instantly got the lucky day discount. I then went on my normal Windows Chrome browser and went to my cart and it reflected over.

Lastly I asked chat for a 2 Year Care Plan code. They kept trying to give me a cart link so I had to be very persistent to get a code but finally got one. Adding this brought my cart to $1,899.99 (before tax) with Samsung Care+ 2 Years.

I then used my Discover card that has 5% cashback on Amazon and used Amazon pay to get another $75 off, and used another cb site to get another $140 off so my total was $1810 all in.

They need to stop it with these student only discounts. No student needs a 77" OLED TV.

I couldn't get the price any lower then 1,999.99 but for $200 more then the LG B3...it seemed like the right thing to do.

I bought the LG B3 and found the colors to be very washed out, but more importantly that it was VERY dim. Everyone says that the Samsung is much brighter, has a better viewing experience from the side and does better at not reflecting light...here's to hoping all of that is true.

I scheduled my deliver for November 29th just in case Costco ends up having this same price for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Thanks OP
I was in the same boat with the Costco B3 and 83 s90c which was $2800z Then it came down to 85" Costco u75k vs Amazon u8k for $1.5k and $2k.

Figured for $1900 this fit our use case best as it's a bedroom TV for mainly nighttime, and the difference between 77 and 85 wasn't much since we are so far away anyway that only projector would have matters (20+ feet)

Based on burn-in tests by Rtings (harsh as they were) Samsung had QD-OLEDs had the worst performance, bettered by Sony, but LG had the best protection in long-term burn-in tests. I know I know it doesn't happen to anyone until it does.
That's fine Sammy is giving us 3 years warranty…
