Sam's club scan and go is superior to its Walmart counterpart, and it has gas where most Walmarts don't. and it's 20$ a year....how cheap can you be?

Its normally like 45$. Its now 20$. This is a deal. You may not like it, it may not be the best it ever was, but it is the best it currently is. If it doesnt benefit you, thats fine.

Now are you just bashing on it because its the same company ass walmart, or do you say this for costco and bjs deals too?

I was able to use the sams club app before to fill up at their pumps.

I literally just came back from a physical Sam's Club, after buying the membership online thru this deal earlier this morning (I'm the OP), and got a blue physical membership card. I had to show her my ID, the membership # I got in the welcome email, and the phone number I signed up with. They would not give me the complimentary household member card as that household member wasn't present with me, but she said if they come in with me next time or any time they'll issue a card to that person too. So, not sure what you mean by them not issuing cards as a "nationwide" thing.

And like others have mentioned, you don't need a physical membership card to get Sam's gas; I've exclusively been using the app's Scan & Go feature at the gas station for the past two years, preloaded with my CC info.

The 3 Sam's Club locations near me have not been able to issue any physical cards for a little over 7 weeks now. The manager of my local store is the one who said it was a nationwide issue.

Not true. Just use the Sam's club mobile app. Fuel/cafe/ scan and go are all on there.

Antying worth buying there at sam's more than costco? i might be biased but i felt the things sold by sam's club seem to be more expensive than walmart online?

As I said previously, app does not work at the Sam's gas stations here. It is a known issue.

If you've never been to Sam's, try them at least once.

I've had both and prefer Sam's so much more, but mostly for subjective reasons.

Objectively, their Scan and Go is miles above and beyond Costco, and their online options and inventory works.

Subjectively, we prefer Sam's products, hot dog deal, it's closer for us, they have membership deals more often, etc. The prices are equivalent - it really depends on what you like to shop for. Some things are cheaper at one store than the other.

I would believe so, you would need the account you bought the tires on to be current.
Perhaps you could save the paper receipt but i have a feeling they would point to the fine print of active membership on the purchased account.

No you don't need physical card to purchase gas, it can be done from the app, easily

Thank you! u r right on! I've never been to Sam's. no Sam's close by. but i am moving to a place with Sam's. so i will try out. if their online deals are good too, i wonder if i should buy sam's plus? i don't like to pay for shipping
