I never understand how I'm supposed to "browse" this deal. Like, can I pick a departure station then just browse the cheapest dates and destinations? I don't care when or where, but I hate having to guess and check a thousand locations and dates.

That's only for the MAX discount of 60%. There are discounts all the way down to groups of 3. 30% off for a family of 4 is going to be useful to a lot of people, not just herds.

Passenger 1 – full price (or lowest available fare)
Groups of 2 – full price (or lowest available fare)
Groups of 3 – 17% off all tickets
Groups of 4 – 30% off all tickets

At least for me, this code option only shows up when searching from the main page. Doesn't show up under number of passengers with a "modify search".

Also group is 3 or more people.

Shorter trips of 3-5 hours are ok in coach but I wouldn't want to do an overnight even if the seats are comfortable with lots of pitch, especially with Amtrak's infamous delays. We were hoping to travel NY-Chicago on the Cardinal but in a room. Thanks though.

Those delays are legendary. I took a chance between Tucson and LA for a long weekend. 7 hour delay leaving here. That was the final time. It's just way too often.

Has anyone had success travelling from Ohio anywhere?

I do lookups from CLE to new Orleans, Miami, etc and everything is always 40 hours...

Is there a way to find what nonstop or express routes exist?

Exactly. I wish there were something like Google flights where you could filter dates with the same destination and find the lowest fares.
