QC45 are lighter and more portable. The 700s are bulky although they sound marginally better and have more ANC settings and may fit better on your head.

If you're purchasing it for work and need it for a conference meeting, definitely 700 because it has one of the best noise-canceling mics on the market. If you're only using it for listening to music, QC45 is lighter and much more comfortable. I say this as someone who owns both headphones.

I got these refurbished two years ago for $180. I've always hated around ear headphones, and still find these too heavy and uncomfortable for using at the gym or running errands, but there are many use cases where I only use these over my 3 other headphones:

When I'm watching a movie and want more immersion.
When I'm on the train or bus and need the extremely high noise cancelation.
And especially when I'm on a phone call. The negative noise cancelation allows me to hear myself perfectly, eliminating the annoying muffled sound of my own voice while talking on headphones.

Yeah, you can adjust ANC to High/low/off via a button on the left ear. I've had them for a couple of years and use them for hours while I work. Super comfy and great battery life.

Are you sure about this? I read all the complaints on the last few QC45 postings and everyone said you can't turn off the ANC. Reviews also.


EDIT: did some research. You CANNOT turn off ANC without turning ON pass-through (Aware) mode. That pretty much means you CAN'T TURN IT OFF.

I have the 700s and they fall off my head when I lean back or lie down. Pretty annoying in those circumstances. But otherwise sound is great and are comfortable when sitting straight up.
