In before all the people who don't understand this product and are happy with their Ozark Trail Tumblers.

My wife and I have had ours for over two years. They're used almost every morning and hand washed. It's no secret the APP is trash and has connection problems. However, after you initially set it up and pick your temp you don't have to use the app again.

Only issue we've had is last year one of the coasters pogo charging pin failed. Made it a point to make sure they're completely dry before putting them back on the coaster.
I bought one of these a while back and was somewhat disappointed.

I tend to like my coffee and tea on the "hotter" side and the Ember can only maintain liquids on the higher end of "warm".

This is perfectly fine for most people, but if you prefer your drinks on the hotter side this isn't for you.
If you reach out to them with the recessed charging coaster pin issue, they'll send you a new one. I've received about 5 so far... they must have run the numbers on designing a new one vs sending out replacements.

Ditto way of using since last few years. I also only drink black coffee and this is the best to get started without the coffee going cold very quickly.

This is Costco; If you are blessed with the very common defect of recessed charging coaster, take it back and buy this years deal

I had a 50% failure rate from last years deal, I am buying 2 more, just in case.

(If you had the defect, and did not notice it, you have probably damaged the battery)

Ember rocks, but I would only consider buying one from Costco.

I was able to swap at Costco. It happened pretty early for us.

Of course! It'll be useful when they stop carrying it in the future.

Haha it took a couple of hours but they're here.... I use mine multiple times per day in the cooler months. My girlfriend even uses it at night for hot chocolate where she adds whip cream with almost every sip and it still stays hot.

I've had mine for 2 years and it's still working good as new. If it died tomorrow, I'd be ordering another one immediately. Definitely wouldn't bother with the 10oz mug though. I would buy one off eBay without the charger just as a backup but I've literally never needed it.

Some people use preground coffee and will even use the microwave if their mug gets cold.

Ignorance is bliss...

Costco will stop selling Ember 2 when they begin selling Ember 3 (or when all of the founders die)

Same thing happened with mine, I contacted their support and they immediately sent a new coaster.

I rarely use my original Ember. It takes way too long to recharge.

For the 30 or so minutes of warmth, it takes 4-5 hrs to recharge for the next day.

You don't need it.

But pouring a cup, waiting ten minutes while it sits on the coaster and cools to a drinkable temperature that you choose then maintains that perfect temperature as you go about your morning...

It's pretty neat.

I vaguely remember an Ember mug like this being sold for ~$50 earlier this year at Kohs. Kohls was just trying to give them away. Consumers must have gotten wise. They found out about the invention of Thermo mugs (insulated). Drive down the temp before you put it in the mug so it doesn't stay piping hot for hours. Staples Easy Button.
Do you need to close and open the lid of a thermo cup each time you want to sip?
