We got these to line our bedroom to protect against our pets having potty accidents. However one of our cats really liked the smell and started eating these foam pads. In the end it caused intestinal obstruction and a $8000 surgery to save him (he's doing well now). Just something to be mindful of.

For anyone interested in flooring for a home gym, go to a tractor supply or feed store and get some horse mats. Much better quality rubber and is considerably cheaper

Wondering if this would be okay to place on top of carpet. I have a bench with some weight along with a few bars and dumbells on the ground. I wouldn't want this if it were to come apartment and not stay flush.

Logic would dictate any joined surfaces would experience strain at the joint if the underlying surface is not firm. I imagine this would pop apart if the carpet is fluffy.

I have some from Costco on carpet and they come apart easily. Even just doing core workouts. I plan on getting some plywood the size of the mat area so that it stops coming apart. It's frustrating having to adjust it ever couple of exercises or sets of lifting.

I was wondering about using these UNDER carpet as a carpet pad. Does anybody know if years later, they would stick to the wood floor and create a mess?

Hm. Can I use this instead of a playmat for infants/toddlers? I have tile floor and good playmats are expensive.

We used thicker ones (1", this is 0.5") but that's exactly what we did for our kids, padded an entire room for them to play in

Same reason we had to get rid of ours too. We have 2 cats, 1 didn't care about it but the other was constantly trying to munch on it.

Do these slide around if laid out on a hardwood or LVP floor?
