Available Capacities:Features:
- Portability meets power. We partnered with AMD to create Steam Deck's custom APU, optimized for handheld gaming. It is a Zen 2 + RDNA 2 powerhouse, delivering more than enough performance to run the latest AAA games in a very efficient power envelope.
- Your Steam Library, anywhere. Once you've logged into Steam Deck, your entire Steam Library shows up, just like any other PC. You'll also see the compatibility rating of each game, indicating the kind of experience you can expect when playing. You can dynamically filter any view in your library by compatibility rating if you're looking for specific sorts of experiences.
- Control with comfort. The Steam Deck was built for extended play sessions—whether you're using thumbsticks or trackpads—with full-size controls positioned perfectly within your reach. The rear of the device is sculpted to comfortably fit a wide range of hand sizes.

Aside from the screen upgrade, it gets a slightly faster/more efficient SoC (6nm instead of 7nm), potentially less noisy and hot, 25% bigger battery, Wi-Fi 6E, and it weighs a little less.

You were a good Call of Duty player. Feared and respected. You used to call in nukes after netting 25 killstreaks. People used to call you names, to make them feel better about their inadequacy. They'd say things like: "Get a job, loser!" or "You must be a virgin!". At first it didn't bother you because you knew you were King. But over time it eroded your confidence. You'd see your friends posting pictures on social media. They looked like they had the perfect life. Traveling around the world. Hanging out with friends. Out at bars with smokin' hot babes. Little did you know they were taking out massive loans with unfavorable interest rates and being a debt slave. When they traveled around the world, they had to wait hours in airports. They had to listen to screaming babies for 5+ hours at a time. The hot chicks at the bar were just photobombing their photo. They didn't even talk to them.
You wanted what you perceived to be the perfect life: "Instead of humbling these noobs in COD, I'm going to obtain this perfect life!" you said. The first girl that smiled at you, you fell in love with. She asked strange questions when you first met like: "If you were to die, who would get your life insurance plan", "Can I borrow your credit card? What's the pin that you use?", "Lets play a game: who can say their social security number the fastest". You're a hardened gamer. You don't like losing. You destroyed her in the Social security card game.
Later on you'd go on Call of Duty. You were right back in the groove of things. You were ending games with nukes. The same crybabies used the same lines as before: "You're a virgin". But except you weren't anymore. The social security girl you just met is actually going to have your kid soon. You've been taking out massive debt to live a life standard you can't afford. But it's amazing! You quickly typed out: "Actually, I'm not a virgin anymore! I'm having my first kid soon!". You felt so good typing that out. You've achieved the perfect life, like the people you've been handing out losses to in COD. Surely their lives are perfect, right?
No one typed back. There was just silence. Then suddenly one guy who went 1 kill/15 deaths in the match turned on his mic. His gamer tag was YeetSkeet42069. He suddenly talks. He must have been 55 years old. With a disappointed voice he said: "We say those lines to bait better players into losing like us. But to lose in real life. Are you seriously taking out massive loans and impregnating women? Do you know how hard it is to raise a kid? Do you know how risky it is to impregnate someone you just met? Child support can last for 18 years! We simply didn't want you playing COD anymore and making us rage. You didn't take our bait, did you!?".
You couldn't believe it. You've been checkmated. All these years you've been owning noobs. They got you down the same losing path they went on. Now you won't have any time to game. You might be working two jobs, and taking the night-shift baby-diaper-changing duties. They pulled off the 25 killstreak nuke on you. You might not ever have time to play COD again. You instantly had so much regret. "If I could just go back in time and do things over again. I'd have time to be a gamer again".
That's tonight's bedtime story. Could have been written by A.I. would you know?

Asus tried the same thing with Ally, and never sold out. Ok, Valve is king, but this isn't going to be hard to get folks

While the Steam Deck may not be as collectible as Analogue products, it is closer to one than Asus is.
Edit: I re-read your comment. I thought you were talking about the limited edition Steam Deck. But if you are referring to the OLED models not limited edition, I think you may be right. It looks as if Valve is working towards making the oled version the default version.

In any case, even if they keep purchases open to all, it's not a mainstream console. Doubt scalpers will bother.

Valve also said that the Steam Deck 2 is in the works and it's just 2-3 years away. They're probably just waiting for the APU to advance further to become more power efficient.
