This or rog?
I bought a rog recently, but the 64gb steam deck at nearly half the price is tempting. Rog is pretty great though.

You can either stream it browser. Or dual boot steamos and windows. Then run gamepass natively on windows.

I'd be more excited about the battery life improvements than the OLED screen. Don't get me wrong, OLED is awesome particularly when seen in direct comparison to LCD. However, when I'm not looking at devices side by side, it's not something I think about when playing.

20-40% more battery life in practice is significant for this kind of device and it might be the difference from needing to carry a power bank or not in a lot of cases.

Agreed. If it were me, I'd rather try to save $100 more and get the OLED model. Between a bigger battery and more efficient screen/processor, it should be a much more long-lasting device and that's gonna make all the difference.

Yeah ... I bought the 512 last year and ended up putting a glossy screen protector on it. I don't know why everyone seems to want matte screens online. None of my irl friends like them.
People don't necessarily "prefer" matte to glossy, it's just the reality that if they have to deal with glare a lot, one is a better option.

Yeah I would only really recommend these if you want to play with steam OS or want this kind of hand held system. I have a 64 and preordered a 512. It's not bad but I've no interest in the OLED. I do want a legion go and would consider an Ally again if they corrected the SD card reader but I'd probably just opt for the legion Go due to the removeable controllers

Battery life too poor for the price, not a good deal. Either you're stuck carrying around power bricks or you're always plugged into a wall. You might as well just get a gaming laptop.
Always plugged into a wall? Lol wut. Do you plan on playing on the go for days at a time?

When you realize you don't need no video games to live your life, the choice to buy is obvious; but I don't blame anyone for pulling the trigger as I was once an addict myself. One day, you'll be ready to pay your late child support notices.
What are you even trying to say? Someone is projecting.

I wonder if they'll sell the OLED panel separately so we can upgrade our LCD ones

I'm all in on the 512gb OLED model when they get a sale discount. My Switch OLED looks so much better than my son's LCD Switch (personal taste, I know).
That's not personal taste. That's fact. OLED has significantly better color and contrast.
