My old Sonicare 4000 died The shaft that holds the brush loosened up and the brush head just flops around now. I purchased the frontpage deal on the Sonicare 1000 toothbrush at $20. It is WAY underpowered and does not do nearly as good of a job cleaning my teeth. While returning the 1100 brush I found this brush for $35 which I think is a MUCH better deal!

P.S. My old 4000 charging base worked just fine on the 1000 brush and I am confident it will work with this 4100 also eliminating the need a separate USB charger to power the USB base that comes with this model.

Tried it, found it VERY lacking in power:

Is it some kind of standard code like welcome or do we actually have to sign up?

Im using a sonicare from Costco (the cheapest model) but now is dying and i would like to try the Oral B round heads since i dont find the sonicare system that effective.

So if i want to replace my sonicare (WITHOUT paying extra for that Bluetooth mimic) is this model (4100) the best potency power we can get without being a Bluetooth model?

I'm investigating about this for the Oral B models too. The best potency power available without paying extra for Bluetooth models or other ridiculous gimmicks.

I had a 3 speed model Sonicare before my 4000 Sonicare which recently died. The 4000 felt exactly like the high power setting on 3 speed brush. I never found a reason for the lower 2 power levels on the 3 speed toothbrush.

"In my opinion" this 4100 is the highest power Sonicare and comparable to the ones with all the stupid gimmicks.

P.S. Philips seems to be very good at engineering in a limited 2 year life expectancy into these toothbrushes. I tried an Oral B round brush electric toothbrush (from Costco) and was not impressed. I returned it and bought the 4000 I previously mentioned.

Thanks!!! Yeah the Philips sonicare (cheapest 2 pack from Costco) I have is like 3 years old and I feel the power juice it had since new is now gone and one of them now have water damage. Wondered if an OralB with the same power potency could clean better with it's round heads.

Regards

A friend told me to NOT put my toothbrush on the charger after every time I use it. After 2 years I noticed no reduction in power of my 4000 Sonicare. The shaft on my old 4000 that holds the brush head came loose and the brush head just bounces around. It seems like I got about 3 weeks between charges with my 4000. The 3 speed model (I think it was a 6000) I had before the 4000 I charged every day and the battery died at about 2 years. "I" believe what my friend told me about charging the battery everyday causing premature battery failure.

Which toothbrush is best is highly subjective. I've had sonicare for the last 8 years because of a costco two-pack. Prior to that I used oral-b, while using soniccare i've had more work/cleaning done during my dentist cleanings than while using oral-b. My dentist swears by sonicare but as soon as my current sonicare dies, I'm replacing with oral-b, even though sknicare is slightly quieter.

How is 20% off $40 equal to $35? I see the deal has a $5 off instead of. Where is the 20%?

If anyone is still shopping I bought from Walgreens today code NYE24 for 24% off the 39.99 (comes to $30.40 + tax) and same day pick up. Worth checking SD for Walgreens offers. (I found the code I used searching SD)

NYE24 wasn't working for me.....so I started doing some research. The terms for NYE24 specifically say that Philips Sonicare is ineligible.
