There's an additional 20% off coupon to clip on the store page for me.

Also, this unit only has AV out (Red/White/Yellow RCA plugs) similar to the original equipment. Not sure I have anything I could hook this to.

There is an HDMI version (Hyperkin RetroN 3 HD) but it doesn't appear to be on sale.

For anyone who may be interested, please look at a review comparing original hardware to these. These offer convenience, but many might not like the colors or performance out of it. It's a great option for people who have games or want an easy way to play physical games. If you don't care about graphics and colors being accurate, you probably won't notice a difference. Much cheaper than buying 3 consoles.

Or you could just download the Nintendo emulators and download the roms and play on your computer for the cost of a $6 controller off the usual sites...

So you could get a everdrive for all 3 consoles and wireless controllers. You get what you pay for though, as hyperkin is known to be terrible with anything that has a hdmi output.

Emulation doesn't help people who want to play physical games. There are a lot of people who don't want to or don't like to emulate. By now, we all know the option exists though.

emulation is just the OS of the original game. it literally is exactly the same game, using the same software, on a computer instead of a dedicated game machine. It absolutely helps anyone who wants to play a physical game, the same way you copy a CD to MP3 or a blueray or DVD to MKV...

It is similar, but side by side, it is not the exact same. There are very good emulators out there just as there are good versions of hardware for systems, like the Analog systems. However, if you want the tactile feel of playing a cartridge based game in a system, emulation will not provide that same feeling. Like reading a Kindle vs paper book, the experiences are just not the same for a lot of people. If people were planning to emulate, then why would they be here in the first place looking at a Hyperkin system?

They are exactly the same, right down to the controls. I don't think you know about emulation.

Incorrect. Emulation introduces inherent lag. Talk to any super smash brothers melee player and look into the extensive lengths they go to in order to make emulation even somewhat comparable to real hardware. I don't think you know about emulation.
