Don't buy this. It is tempting but does not do a good job. I have this and mostly everything yellow. Project Farm did a great test of vacuums. I went with the battery-only Rigid ($99 years ago) and 3D printed/rewired an adapter to be able to use my Dewalt batteries. The Rigid 100% sucks more than Dewalt in this case.

Seeing as I am in the Dewalt battery ecosystem, I got this as a freebie for another deal early in the year. I use this for every little project as it beats a fullsize shopvac. I use a 5ah on it and it works fine! I even used it to suck up oil when my car decided to leak all in the garage (3/4 of a qt all over)... worked fine for it all! Only complaint is the hose twist locks to the body... the hose does not have much twist "flex" so it will unlock it sometimes.

The 3C says it's the same product since 2014, and $79 is the lowest price on and off starting 2016.

Anyone knows if this is better tool than the recently posted Ryobi deal?

Is this a new design of the same one they've had for the last decade?

it's been coming down to this price twice a day for the last six days - lasts a couple of hours - if you're half-interested, put it in your cart - it will happen again.

edit: haha 24hrs now ...

I have them both, the ryobi is the 1 gallon smaller and lighter version. I have fallen in love with the ryobi for its size, it's great to have small and light to climb up ladder or vacuum the car. I just wish the ryobi had the flat head, which is very useful to gather dust off the floor.

I have this and it's...okay.
clearly not going to be a full shop vac experience, but its decently strong and batteries last longer than I expected (but I expected very little). I think the wide head doesn't get enough fine mess like drywall dust and its not great for cleaning cars. But its not a bad tool.

I can't compare to Ryobi, but I can compare to Bosch. The Bosch one does a better job but eats batteries. But for performance Id rather have the Bosch. I'm a dewalt ecosystem though.

I have about 20 or so 20V DeWalt tools and this is one of my favorites.
