Recommended ratio of ice to beverages is between 1-2:1 by the lb in normal coolers. This is zero ice so there's actually a fair amount of room for stuff instead of ice. Portable fridges are heavier, but again, not hauling ice around. I can run a similar one as freezer 0F for over twelve hours off my Jackery clone which is supposedly 518Wh. Pulls around 40 watts.

It won't. According to the description from the webpage:

"CAR BATTERY PROTECTION
The Pure Outdoor Emperor portable fridge/freezer from Monoprice is equipped with a multi‑level battery monitor that protects your vehicle battery against excessive discharging. When the cooler is operated with the vehicle ignition switched off, the cooler switches off automatically as soon as the supply voltage falls below a set level. The cooler does all the work for you as it switches back on once the battery has been recharged to the restart voltage level."

Cool I have the non electric version and it's pretty much a Yeti dupe. Also looks like this will fit a model Y rear trunk (30x16x14). 25L though

Interesting, reviews are mixed, but it looks like users just aren't reading the manual. So this thing is basically a roto-molded cooler after you get it cooled and you should not put ice in it at all, right?

Do these hold a cool temp well after power is cut? Like comparable to a similarly sized insulated cooler when without power?

How quickly would something like this drain a car battery if the car is off?

I don't have exact numbers but it would depend on what fridge temp you're starting at when the car is turned off. Warm fridge and contents would obviously pull more energy from the battery compared to starting with an already cold fridge/contents

Looks similar to the BougeRV fridge; might be the same OEM? I picked up the BougeRV version for around the same price a few months back.

Is there available battery that goes inside the unit like other units of this type?
