Repped for a slick deal. The 4100 is the cheapest real Sonicare. The cheaper ones aren't as strong and don't work as well.

And now for some money-saving tips!
Your Sonicare battery will last many years longer if you don't put it on the charger every day.
Let the battery warning light come on before recharging.
I got over 9 years out of my last one. My current one is at 5 years and still goes weeks before needing a charge.

I have been using "Toptheway" brand replacement heads for years.
They work as well as the originals and last about as long.
They're under $2 each on ebay.

Is this a good one or would you recommend a model at a higher price point?

I have had both and prefer the Philips...and have had expensive models of each, the oral b didn't clean as well for me, but it probably depends on the person

I git a Philips 3 years ago still going strong, I'm getting it bc of the pressure sensor.

If you've never had an electric brush then even this model will be amazingly different. I've used Sonicares for maybe 15y+. I've had maybe one minor cavities since. I've had about 4 different versions, two of those were $100+ models. The 4100 is what I use now and I find it to be perfectly fine. I just wouldn't get any cheaper models than this.

Perfect timing. My old Sonicare just started to have battery issues after 4+ years.

I have a Sonicare series 2 that I got 5 years ago and it is still going strong. Almost bought into this one, but the only big difference is having the pressure sensor. Nice addition, but not worth replacing mine yet.
