I don't think they're trying to offload batteries. Were that the case they'd throw in a free battery too. I'd bet they're trying to offload stock so that they can announce the Abound 2 in the spring.

I think this is a good deal. Try to get it through your local bike shop (LBS). Most of the bikes are fine, but sometimes they're not. It's a lot easier to let your LBS fight with Aventon than do it yourself because Aventon customer service can be really bad.

Under 1k is a great deal. This is if you need one now, GOOD deal, at best, IMO. I own 5 e-bikes. Best purchase so far, $799 Juiced, Ripcurrent. Such a good bike. Anyone who bought it, tell me I'm wrong. I also own the Flyer L885 cargo ebike. that I paid $800 for.

I bought the Juiced RipRacer for $899 when they were on sale and in stock and it will be delivered Wednesday. Wish I had gotten in on that $799 RipCurrent deal though. Aventon ebikes frequently feel overpriced, even when on sale

Rad's bike lacks a front fork. It's ok if you be like Presley and get all shook up. I test rode both and aventon is much more comfortable.
