Price Type Lowest Ever * Highest Ever * Current + Average *
Amazon $37.48 (Nov 05, 2010) $123.37 (Nov 11, 2022) $57.61 (Nov 09, 2023) $67.51

about $10 cheaper then the one i got last year in august

there is a verrry good chance that you will get a cord made elsewhere, but not in the usa.

Good deal. Wish the 50-foot was on sale
Same, but the price is too good for me to pass up. I'm just going to split it into two 50s, or maybe 60/40.

If you are asking yourself if you should return 14/3 and get 12/3. The answer is yes.

12/3 is better than 14/3 and 16/3. Especially on 100ft length. The thicker gauge wire is more expensive per foot so you're getting a better deal.

If memory serves you can't safely run a 1500watt space heater with 100ft 14/3 or 16/3 cord.

"14-gauge: This gauge is suitable for medium-duty use, such as powering power tools and small appliances. It can handle up to 15 amps of current and is suitable for cords up to 100 feet in length. 12-gauge: This gauge is suitable for heavy-duty use, such as powering large power tools and appliances"

16 gauge at 100ft.. I don't even know what that's good for. A lamp. I don't own any 16/3 cords.

Can this be converted to a generator cord?
Converting an extension cord for a generator involves assessing voltage, amperage, and compatibility. If the generator has the same voltage and sufficient amperage, you might be able to use an extension cord. However, it's crucial to ensure the cord can handle the power load and is suitable for generator use. Always follow safety guidelines and, if unsure, consult a professional electrician.

Can you link the products you're going to reattach to the split ends?

Local chain Menards has similar cord for $40 before rebate. They also ship, but not for free.

That one is 16/3 -- rated for much lower power and pretty much only useful for Christmas lights.

Anyone find a good storage reel that will hold this?

All the ones I've found are max of 50-75' of 12AWG, or 100' of 16AWG.

Preferably the kind with a stand, carry handle, and built in outlets.

All I've found that will fit is the cheap velcro strap type that has a carry handle.

Bought one of these last year for a wired lawn dethatcher that needed 12 gauge to mitigate voltage drop. Works pretty well. I'd bet people are going to be surprised at how heavy the cord is, if you haven't used one before.

heres a cheap 100' 16/3 for $20 (50%)

All depends what you need to put at the end of them.
What you linked is likely fine for corded outdoor power tools.
