Funny, I had a package of the Tide pods that wouldn't close so I put the whole package in a ziploc bag. Since I don't have kids, it wasn't a safety issue but it's interesting to see this.

I have given away 90% of all the tide bags I've bought. I just hope for the sake of the families I gave them to, this was not an issue for them.

I wish they could have provided more certainty in their recall of the timeline when this occurred, as I probably have 20 more bags right now.

Not shopping related really, but we were in the path of totality for the eclipse today. It was especially cloudy, but we went with it and hung out for about 30 minutes outside hoping we'd see something. Not only did we get to see several versions of a partial eclipse, during totality it got night time level dark, where all the solar lights on our block came on. We also got to see the full eclipse. Even my husband who has been rather sarcastic over all the hullabaloo over the eclipse was glad he took a little time to experience it.

Shopping related, because of all the people in town for the eclipse, I'm not shopping today!

Neat. I was wondering if anyone on here was in the path of totality. We were supposed to be about 78% but since the whole day has been dark, cloudy and raining nothing looked any different. My husband was down in Iowa where it was said it was going to be almost 90%. His hotel even provided eclipse-viewing glasses. But he said the amount of light never really changed even though he could look at the sun with the glasses and see it covered.

2L Pepsi is part of the 10/10 deal starting on Wed at Vons and it's free 20 oz soda for the weekend. Gatorade is 76 cents. Yoplait is 49 cents and part of the 4/4 deal. It's nice to finally have a good cheap item included. Obviously, the 39 cents Yoplait deals are better when you can get it for free but I'm more likely to buy it when it's going to save me money on something that I really want.

I'm in NC and not sure what % totality we were but I was outside working. It was sunny but when it started there was a noticeable change. It was still very bright but it almost had that feeling of a summer storm where its still bright, but something is "off" if you know what I mean.

My sweet neighbor came over to make sure I had glasses and could see since I was just outside working. I'm glad she did because, though I had noticed a change, I had thought it was going to be later. So, I scurried in and got my glasses and enjoyed a few breaks.

My parents are in So. IN so they were at totality. It's been a pretty big event there from what I hear.

I'm in SoCal. I got home from shopping at CVS at around 7 (I could be off a little bit on the time). Everything looked normal but the traffic was very light (enough to make me wonder where everybody was). I had an exhausting day so I went inside and made dinner (which was opening the microwave door and pressing start) so I missed the whole thing. I was going to stop at a Chinese place on the way home but they're always super crowded and I didn't feel like waiting around for 30 minutes. I wish that I had gone there because I wanted some kung pao chicken. I might've seen the eclipse, too. Oh well, it's another thing that I can blame CVS for...

Anyone shipped an RA online order to someone else lately?

I've sort of promised my sister I'd use whatever is left on 4/28 to send her a care package.
But then remembered at some point people had orders canceled if they were to some place other than their own account's address.

4/28 has in ad 10bc wyb $30 and presume I'll get the same online. I don't know if I've ever seen such a good return before. Too bad the $$ off CATs seem to be history - maybe this is a way to make up for it.

Next week's CVS ad looks pretty good. I hope that we get some resets on the digital coupons. I finally saw a very obvious deal in this week's CVS ad but now I'm not sure that I want to do it because of next week's ad. I checked one of my cards and I got a 20% off coupon this morning but I'm not going to play that game. If CVS doesn't want to give me any threshold coupons, that's fine. I'm not going to run out and buy caramels. I keep on debating on going to RA. If I get a receipt x/xx, it would make Dove a really good deal without worrying about Ibotta and BCC's. I have $2 and $3 tearpad coupons so I think that I can get a free deal but the very high oop is the issue. I have no BC to work with. I did a deal at Wags yesterday and I'm still debating on if I should've done it. It was a free deal before sales tax but I paid $20 oop even with $16 RR's. The things I wanted in the deal were the large Gain liquid detergent and large Downy scent beads and you can't beat free but I did have to part with $20 cash. I got Gillette and Venus disposable razors, too, so I should probably be happy with it. I would've done the Scott deal but I don't know how you'd ever find 9 paper towel 6-packs in one store. I do have a 7/40 for the double stack. I saw them putting out stuff when I was there so I may go back and check.

Are you back to driving? If not, just curious how you plan to get nine six-packs of paper towels home? They might not even fit in some smaller cars, lol. Have a great day and good luck with your shopping!

Yes, I'm driving. My knee gave out on me from all of the walking. I was on norco and some other bad stuff and I kept on having to take more and more just to get out of bed. I decided that walking isn't an option for me. I'm off of the drugs now but I'm still in a lot of pain. If I sit down in a chair, I can't stand up without holding onto something and then I can't walk on my own for a minute or two. I'm also having chest pain so I'm a mess right now. I'm doing a little shopping to get me out of the house so that I can walk around a little bit. Short walks like in the store are fine but the long walks to CVS are definitely out. My sale last Saturday absolutely sucked. The deals at CVS weren't very good (without threshold coupons and Ibotta) and my brain is like scrambled eggs. I didn't get much for this week (just nail polish, razors, and Tide) so it's just as well that the sale is cancelled.

Since you're driving, are you considering going back to RA?
The 4/28 ad preview has Pepsi 2L deal that made me think of you. - IIRC you do drink Pepsi?
2/$6, 6bc wyb 4 and there's in -ad 10bc wys $30.

There's a $10 for 10 deal on Pepsi at Vons this week and free 20 oz Pepsi for the weekend. Did you get the same thing at Safeway? I don't like the 2L bottles so I'm probably not going to do the deal. The last time RA had Pepsi on sale like this, which I think was for Black Friday, I gave it all away to the employees (it was a lot) and I heard that LP wasn't very happy about it. I don't know if RA still has a LP dept these days lol. I went back to RA today. I hadn't been there in over a month and I've only been 2 or 3 times in the last 3 months (mostly due to health issues). One of my stores closed while I was gone which leaves me with only one store within 45 minutes of me. At the store that's still open, half of the staff is being laid off. The truck is every 2 weeks now. I wanted to see if I would get any receipt coupons so I looked around for clearance. They had a bunch of Degree Unlimited deodorant for $2.99 and there was a nice $2 tearpad right by them. I can't ask for more than that. I got a coupon on most of my cards 8/40, 6/30, and 2/10. I forgot to print the 15/50 so I couldn't do any deals. Do you have a plan for this week? I was thinking Dove and Colgate. I have tearpad coupons for Dove and the $5/3 dq for Colgate. I have no idea what the monthly deals are. They had tons of the Vitamin E things but I don't have any coupons. I'm wondering if I should be happy with the Degree Unlimited and call it a day or jump back in. The oop is going to be high but I love the 10/30 at the end of the month (if RA is still open). I went to Wags and did the Gain/razor deal. I got Colgate to use the RR's to pay for the Gain. Then I did Scott. It's the 4=7 that's on sale not the 6-pack. I wasn't happy about that but it's still a good deal with the double stack. I got 6 Wags bags to get to $40. No issues at all yesterday or today. The stores were nice and everything worked like it was supposed to. I think that the problem is with my local store so I'm going to stop going there. I also went to CVS. I had $4 welcome ecb's on 2 cards so I did Maybelline/ Essie, Nivea Men's, and Boost. I came in for the razor deal but they didn't have stock. That's the deal that I was talking about in my earlier post. I think that the best way to do it is with 2 Mach 3's and 2 Gillette disposables (and skip the shaving gel). The razor deals are really good next week but I wonder if the dq's will reset. I should still be ok if they don't. It was a lot of shopping today but I didn't get that much. I told RA that I'd be back at around 5 with my 15/50's but I'm too tired and I have to think that there's a better way to do the deal than how I'm doing it.

Interesting. Some of the Gillette coupons expire on Saturday and some expire on 4/27.
