A lot of the hard work that people do goes unappreciated and then sometimes they get attacked because somebody has a stick up their you know what. When I was on here before I got attacked all of the time. I put myself out there and tried to make the thread I did fun but some people didn't appreciate it and thought that I should be deadly serious. I should've gone on youtube. I'd have a million followers by now. My thread on here was getting 20,000 hits a week back then and it wasn't even a deal thread. I miss doing the thread. It was a lot of fun and I love to write and come up with crazy stuff but now there's nothing to write about. The econonmy is doing so well but all of the deals have dried up and everybody had cracked down on couponers. Things go up and things do down. The stores won't always be doing so great and then they think that we'll come back like nothing happened. They're in for a big surprise.
By the way, Rydergal posted in the Publix thread the other day. I just happened to see her post and was able to say hi.

I was going to say no on Amit but now I'm starting to remember a little bit. Amit was legendary but a little before my time. I think the world of Onedollarorless. We used to talk all of the time. I hope that she's happy in whatever she's doing now. Yeah, I hate digital. It's funny because I was a whiz at analog. I used to get paid $45 for setting the clock on a vcr. It would take me a minute. This was in the early 80's when $45 was a lot of money. I'd tell them that it was easy and they didn't need me but they would rather pay me to come out. Some nights I'd have 8 installations where I just set the clock. This was after a long day at work. It got complicated when people wanted a cable bypass. That was so you could watch one program and record something else with the cable box. That involved a special hook-up which wasn't that hard if you knew what you were doing (very few people did back then). I'd get $100 for that one. The hard part was explaining it to people so that they could work it themselves. I had some crazy installations where I'd get there and a very famous person would open up the door. It was always an adventure. Things have really changed for me with digital. I can't even operate a cell phone so that eliminates Ibotta and the fast food apps. Actually, it eliminates almost everything. You can't live without a cell phone.

I'm monkeydawn pretty much everywhere. Not military, first time I have been asked that. lol

I needed my first email address for an animal behavior class. monkey(my real first name) was taken so I went with monkeydawn, my middle name.

I was with AFC until the bitter end when they sold out and it went kaput. They didnt let us mods know anything in advance, just one day you couldnt log in anymore and then it was gone shortly after. That was strange.

That's so weird. Sometimes I'll look up names to see if they mean anything and I remember looking yours up and getting a military explanation. I looked it up now and I don't see anything like that. Me and computers. What can I say? lol

I didn't pick pickle for SD. It was another me and computers moment. I like to be characters out of crime novels. Sometimes the detective but other times an obscure character to see if anybody will catch it. I wanted to be Siobhan Clarke. Of course, I'm nothing like her. I'm more like John Rebus in that I break every rule there is lol. I know Siobhan from the early books not from the tv show or The Falls.

I was on AFC at the end but I never was allowed to post. That was probably a good thing lol. I emailed about it a couple of times and never got a response. A good friend was also on AFC and we would pm back and forth and then it was gone.

Hey Valencia, did you ever check out Elizabeth Reed? Here's another one for you - Jeff Beck Nadia Live at Ronnie Scott's. There are a lot of great Jeff Beck songs to choose from. This one is more of a ballad and nothing crazy. He blew everybody's mind at 1:24. You can tell that the bass player wasn't expecting it. This song makes me laugh and cry at the same time.

Delivery tipping inquiry
I'm still unable to get a shoe on my left foot and today Costco has $15 off $50 delivered "powered by Instacart" that I'm considering doing

I've never had anything delivered, I've read min. $5 or 15-20% of total. Is that the discounted total or the original $50?

I don't see a delivery fee in the T&C in the new Costco flyer

The paper and digital world has been very good to me. No shortage in deals even though rite aid is officially closing all the stores here. I've been getting a lot for free. Still been fun for me. Big Grin woot

Yeah, in the beginning of it, all the new apps were fun for me too. Now, its just too much trouble for my tired ole brain.

If you're doing the Crest/Oral-B deal at Wags be very careful with the tb. They must've changed the barcode on it, too, and the dq didn't come off and the RR didn't print. It was at an unfriendly store so I decided that calling customer service was a better option but they can no longer issue W Cash in place of the RR and told me that I needed to call Catalina. This was probably the worst transaction I've done at Wags in over 10 years. Even if it had worked perfectly it would've been horrible. I can't believe that of all the transactions to have a problem with it was this one because of the toothbrush. I checked the toothpastes and had to get a $4 one because the $3 one had the wrong barcode but I didn't know that it was also an issue with the toothbrush. I haven't been shopping much at Wags (or anywhere) recently. It was my first transaction in probably a month. No sale anymore and I'm back to walking everywhere.
