FALL-WINTER 2023 Shopping Fun and Frustrations!!!!

Is it safe to prepare food on them after it air dries or do I need to clean it off?
Instructions don't say.
I just had the cutest of animal visitors and from what I know of possums (which are marsupials, not rodents), they don't spread germs and disease but who knows where those little paws have been and I didn't find it until DH said "what are you doing??", came out in the kitchen to find our Spy Vs Spy-looking friend. So I don't know just where it crossed the counter to get to the stove and sprayed the whole thing.
This is the 3rd baby possum we've had come clean up cat food in the back yard. Last year, one ended up in our dishwasher(!) which is right next to the back door, this one was quite the surprise.
fwiw I read that they either play dead or emit a bad smell when frightened. This little one ran INTO the house -back door is to the left, it went right and into the dining area. I used a stick-thing to get it out and it ran straight out the back door. No playing dead or letting out anything smelly.
Maybe it wanted to move inside? LOL I've read people have them as pets but they're not ideal.

I don't know what "inert ingredients" are in this since they make up most of the contents but ammonium chloride is highly toxic if ingested, and it will irritate eyes and is harmful if inhaled. So, I'd wash it off after using it on food preparation surfaces because you don't want it ending up in your food. I was wondering about the ammonia in Windex, and it's ammonium hydroxide, instead. I regularly spray that on ants in the kitchen and it doesn't smell great, but I don't really think of it as toxic for that purpose.

The prices are the same as always. But, if you spend a mere $300, they'll give you a 15% discount!!! Wow. That amounts to almost 5% after I pay the 10.5% sales tax in Emeryville. Kind of makes you want to be there as soon as the store opens, right? Sale ends 9/10.

I had a pet chinchilla years ago. A girl at work was giving her away and I said what the hell. Chinchillas aren't great pets. You can't really bond with them but they will fall sleep on you. If a chinchilla doesn't want to be caught, you can't catch her. She'll nibble on everything especially books. You give her a bath by rolling her in sand or whatever the substance is. She hangs upside down on the wall. If she doesn't want to be touched, she'll start chirping and then shoot a stream of pee at you. Two minutes later she'll be asleep on your lap. The girl who gave her to me wanted her back so we had a fun couple of months. Her name was Bridgette.

Possum hasn't been back
It's younger than last year's, who got in dishwasher (which is right inside the back door), I'd left something on the counter above it was trying to reach. Easy enough to sanitize by just running it.
That one never came back in the house - I imagine them coming in a house if it's like us being abducted by a UFO LOL, totally weird, alien and not someplace they want to go back to!
They eat slugs/snails which are a major pest as I live near a creek, and ticks which aren't as prevalent but a lot more dangerous. Makes possums very beneficial and welcome in my YARD.

tape it I'll never watch it. I hope that I can stay up for The Anonymous tonight. It's on USA at 11. What makes the show so good is that the players are all excellent. There's a big elimination to start the show off. I think I'm with everyone in hoping that it's Wayne who goes.

To add, I have no idea what network I'll be watching (probably whatever one happens to already be on or was on previously), but I'm assuming that during the actual debate there will be little to no commentary so my plan is not to listen to the yakking before and after the debate, just the actual debate itself and come to my own conclusion and not listen to the conclusion of others.
Then again, since I already know who I'm voting for, I will consider the debate just tonight's entertainment!
