The Flyknit racer looks cool but I ran a few 5Ks and a half marathon in them and it was pure pain. I had to size down (9.5 to 8.5) to get the shoes to fit and they have no energy absorption. Every simple step goes straight to your knees. I thought these had a long break in period but after 2 years of ownership they do not feel good

The Flyknit Racer fits weird due to the tongue being so loose. Nice looking shoes but weird in the comfort department.

It was mentioned above, but for the Flyknit Racer, go down at least a half size from your regular Nike size. I wear a Nike 13 and was swimming in the 13, so I picked up a 12.5 in a different colorway because I liked the design so much. It fits much better.

Also, the Flyknit Racer is a "runner," not a running shoe (despite the name). These are firmly in their lifestyle product line. If you need an actual running shoe, the Pegasus 40 is a great option, especially for $62.
