At $300, sounds like a unicorn. Perhaps you could link to some of those deals?
My HP Pavillion that I bought a few years ago for around this price is at this moment handling over 100 browser tabs from multiple web browsers, around 15 documents open in Word, and around 15 files open in Photoshop, and stills runs youtube at 1080p without a single buffering issue. I don't know much about computers, but that seems like a pretty good laptop to me.

I don't play games on it btw!

I would go with the 14" Costco deal for $599.99 rather than the 15.6" laptop.

Ryzen7 is available for $400
It's an older processor, therefore, it's cheaper.

That's just fancy talk for technician accessible. From what I see all their HP computers say this even though they're in fact upgradable. I don't know why these would be soldered on RAM that wasn't mentioned so it's only natural for it to be x2 slots accessible slots.

Straight from the source: https://support.hp.com/us-en/prod...ku=7F5Q8UA

The WiFi is also probably upgradable I know sometimes HP locks down they're systems so don't quote me on that. But, the LCD is also upgradable, as well as the SSD, however they showed no mention of that. The processor pretty much depicts what RAM any system can use. For this particular processor i5-1335U its limited to 64GB

cool. I may give this a try. I can always return if I want. This seems to be a pretty good deal. Ive been having a hard time finding a laptop that has the numeric keypad, USB-C charging and upgradable RAM around this pricepoint

But what's on tab 44 on the most used browser? And tab 1 & 2 of the sneaky browser?

Is a laptop like this with 10c/12t actually worse performance than a Ryzen with 6c/12t but none of the cores are efficiency? I'm not familiar with efficiency cores other than it sounds like they're supposed to use less power
