You can get a Slim 7 with a 7840HS and 3050 for $850 direct from Lenovo via Perks at Work. Not seeing much reason to take this deal.
This has a 3K 120Hz display vs the QHD+ 90Hz on this year's refresh and that can make a huge difference to a lot of people, esp people who are graphic designers and content creators. Hence, why this is called the creator edition.
Also, this is noticeably lighter than the 7840HS.
i never had much fun with the slim laptops. unless you really like to use it like people do in commercials, where it's on your stomach while youre lying on the couch or something weird like that, it really doesn't make sense to have a slim machine. you sacrafice too much cooling, which throttles performance. they tend to break much easier too.

I have this, paid much more last year. Love the laptop, 3050 plays baldur's gate 3 just fine, screen and build quality are nice. Biggest cons for me are the lack of hdmi and sd card reader
Wish I would've waited till this years version the slim pro 7
I'm sure this has been asked before, but how do these compare to the thinkpad P or T series? I'm guessing the build quality is lower, but is it noticeably so?

Looks like it has discrete graphics vs integrated, but weighs a bit more. Smaller battery on this, too. What else?
