I looked up reviews for the 6900hs version and battery seems super hit and miss

I've seen a lot of good recommendations for lenovos, but also read many people saying they get eye strain specifically from Lenovos due to some technical reasons I'm not entirely up on. Has anyone experience with this?

This seems like a good alternative to the Asus 14X that was recently $699 new. I think IPS is a better choice for more office based users. Not to mention the OLED can be too glossy/reflective. Also the 3050...

Anyone else think this is a better pick over the Asus 14X?

EDIT: Never mind, seems this Lenovo also has a very glossy screen despite being IPS.

I bought this from costco about a year ago. Good laptop but the speakers were unlistenable. Returned.

Eye strain can be from many different factors, but I know for me, it's because of a screen with terrible colors. 45%ntsc, washed out colors, makes my eyes strain harder.

For daily use, it's not double the speed. Also that one has a 3050 as well, good enough for light gaming on lower resolution. I had 512gb ssd, but it's super easy to swap it out. Ram is soldered, but 16gb is good enough for most usages.

The one opened box I got is like new. Came with a charger and the original box.

Yea, I i use it for office use with a TB4 dock that provide 120W. The lenovo was b1tching about the 120Watts all the time and some glitching. (non issue wiht my 5600U)

Oh well.

Seems like a fantastic laptop!

I did get the 7480hs version from Lenovo.com. MY screen isn't as good as this version, but I probably couldn't tell the difference anyways. Overall laptop works well!

I have the 3050 disabled (via bios) from time to time to save on battery life.

If you look close enough, you can see the Open Box option on the Best Buy listing (not the eBay one) under price. Here's what mine says.
Open-Box: from $684.99

Anti glare screen protectors are not a bad fix for this. It started out a steam deck life hack for me, personally, and now I always recommend it.

I've heard of those but never thought I'd like them. Also worry about damage to screen if removing it some day. Ought to give a try though.
