Planning to pick up an apple m3pro 14 inch with education discount for 1849.00 with tax probably around 1995 this BF. I have an Apple Card and can get another 3% Daily Cash back.
I also will be getting 2 Apple Watches this BF probably SE or the series 8. Because apples GC deals this year is garbage. I don't want the Apple Watches to sell out.
Spoke to apple today, they said their system can do 8 GC, however I didnt ask about the amount.
-Does anyone know if apple actually has a dollar amount in GC limit to use instead of their 8 GC quantity limit?
How do you think would be best I do this?
-Will target offer their $15 GC on each $100 spent on apple GC. For instance, If I buy one 500 apple GC do I get 15*5(for each $100 set) for a total of 75 dollars.
-If this could work I would want 4 sets of 500 apple GC ( for a total of 2000 in apple GC cash to buy the laptop. Meaning I would get $300 in target GC.
-I have a target red card as well, can I get the extra 5% on this amount meaning basically $20 of value for each 100 apple GC. With $2000 worth of GC I would hypothetically be at $400 in Target GC to buy a couple of Apple Watches SE.
-I would need to stay under apples limit of 8 GC.
Target GC deal Timeline:
-Can I buy the Apple Watches when they go live to not miss out, get the GC when they launch later in the sale on the 23rd, return the watches and repurchase them using the GC instead?

Probably not but I'd prefer someone who is sure to confirm. A merch credit GC is hard to spend since you can't use them online.

However on the WEBSTORE there is NO OPTION to use the Apple account balance. There is only "redeeming the GC with 8 quantity limit", There is no amount balance limit for this. I need to buy it from the education store to get the laptop at the 1849 price instead of 1999.
Now on the Apple Store App there is an option to use the loaded funds to the apple account balance, however THERE IS NO EDUCATION STORE OPTION HERE to get the education discount.
So my goal would be to get the EDUCATION DISCOUNT, so I think my only option is to use the webstore which means I would have to use the GC route ( with 8 quantity limit) instead of apple account balance.
1) Do you know if the Target GC deal only applies to the $100 apple GC and get the 15 bucks target GC or can I buy like four $500 apple GC and then get ( 5 * 15 target GC) $75 trarget GC for each 500 apple GC spent.
2) Do you know if when the Target sale goes live, I can buy the Apple Watches I want so they don't run out of stock of the colors I want? Then I can wait for the GC deal to drop, buy the apple GC, get the target GC, then return the Apple Watches and rebuy them IMMEDIATELY AT THE brick and mortar STORE but using the target GC instead of my cash?
Thanks in advance

If you have an Apple Account Balance available then it'll show up during checkout next to 8x GC option -- even on the edu store
Target promo is for $100 Apple GC -- you get only one $15 GC per order/transaction
