This is one of those "white labeled" products, so you'll see this same generic surge protector being sold under different brand names.

I have 2 of them that I bought under the "Mifaso" brand label, but again the unit is the same. I bought it about 9 months ago, and I just noticed last week that - while it still works - the surge protector green light is out on one, indicating it is no longer protected against surges. I'll probably junk it and buy a new one, or see what else is out there. (And who knows, maybe there was an actual power surge and it worked as intended?)

My advice is: It works really nicely if you have any awkwardly placed outlets since it rotates and only requires one plug, or even if you just don't want an extension cable hanging down the wall to the floor. But I would be hesitant to plug any really high quality electronics into it... And I would check it periodically to make sure the green light is still on.

"Addtam provides 90-day refund guarantee, worry-free 12-month warranty. "

Often posted brand.

Not that worried about it, if all of them were exploding into fireballs we would see it in the reviews.
It may be a slow failure. I don't like the design.... but what do I know? I am not a certified electrician, I just have my PhD in physics and 25 years of experimental physics work..
Here is a story I feel relays my concerns:

It's none of my business if you want one, though...

Cool, still not worried about it. Thats like, since I was a network engineer and HFC tech, me face palming every time someone sees WEP protection instead of WPA2 or 3 and thinking the world is going to end cause its not on the highest grade of security. I appreciate the concern though, I get it some people need the warm fuzzies of UL and ANSI and anything else you can think of to feel safe while using an item.

Or if people understood that medicine including OTC (over-the-counter), didn't really expire. They just are not guaranteed full potency after that shelf lifetime. Tylenol & drugs containing acetaminophen should, however, be tossed, though.the Because of the adverse affects causes & increases liver damage.

Otherwise, most all drugs and vitamin supplements are fine to use. They will just be slightly less effective.

Its rotating is only 90 degree from middle and not the rotation by two contacting metal pieces as some one think which could bring high risk for flammability

Never heard of Addtam. Just another no-name Amazon seller. How do we even know it's rated for 1,800 joules? Because the company says so?

More than likely this is just the LED going out, it works in parallel to the surge-suppressing part not in line with it, and the surge suppressing component is typically a passive component that can absorb a huge amount of energy (then typically burns out). A similar example – I have a ton of power strips that do this for the power button and the outlets themselves work fine.

Seems kind of odd that it's not secured by a screw. All that weight on just one three prong outlet?

I have a similar device. It tends to fall out of the wall socket.
