Walmart usually allows a large(90% plus but never 100%) down payment on day of purchase. But sone WM employees don't know how to do that, or will say you cannot. So YMMV.
And, what's the difference if you can just payoff online?

Have read through the comments and T&C but still don't see this answered:

I'm a Verizon customer, looking to stay with Verizon. Assuming I buy the iPhone 14 and get the $300 GC, do I still qualify for any trade in promo? If so, is that through Walmart or the trade in promo Verizon is offering?

TIA

Does this work for existing customers. I have a family plan and we all are ready for an upgrade. We did the iPhone 12 plan in 2020 for 30 months.

I just want to confirm this works on existing lines and I would get 1800 of credit back? (300 x 6)
Yes this works for existing customers. $1800 of e-gift cards is a lot to spend a Walmart unless you are ready to buy a big TV.

I would call your local Walmarts beforehand to find out which store has the WARP computer systems for cellphone activations first. These are the ONLY stores that can get you this deal. Do not go to a store that does not have the cell phone activation kiosks, you will waste your time there.

Not all Walmarts can activate phones today. Usually the slower smaller stores no longer have the WARP computer system that connect to the cell carriers for activations, the trained staffing, nor phones for this deal. They are actually handled by 3rd party vendor but with Walmart inventory, the staff do not have Walmart vests nor badges but are authorized to use the registers to ring you up.

Once you locate a store that can do activations, make sure you go there early enough so that you can get first dibs on the size and colors available, they do run out of popular colors and there is no good method to find out what their inventory level is until probably Wednesday night when the last delivery truck unloads and a willing store staff to go count and find out for you.

The smart way would be to get there early and reserve your 6 phones but tell them you need to activate them separately about 30 minutes apart. The last 4 years the e-gift cards have arrived almost instantaneously right after paying the down payment and taxes for each phone at the register. This way you can actually apply the recently received e-gift card for the second phone and cascade it down the line until your 6th phone. At the end you will have 5 phones each with $300 already paid off and 1 left over $300 e-gift card. This is better than trying to spend $1800 afterwards as they can only be used for Walmart purchases.

The monthly installments for these latter 5 phones will be $8.33 cheaper due to the $300 applied at the time of purchase. You let the staff know you will be putting a $300 down payment when they key in the information at the kiosk during activation. Of course you can pay down even more, but I think the limit is up to 60% or 80% of the phone price from what I can recall.

If you are a frequent Walmart shopper and do not care about paying down each line at the time of purchase and have no trouble using $1800 worth of e-gift cards, then order all 6 phones online on Wednesday 11/22. (I am not sure if the online system has a unit limit) Please note one year (2021) when I did it online, it took almost 2 weeks for the e-gift card to arrive via email after the phone was delivered and activated. You will avoid Black Friday pandemonium and stress at the store and enjoy the comfort of your chair and mouse clicks via online order.

Be sure to have all your previous installment plans paid off beforehand so that all the lines upgrade smoothly.

Also be sure the address on your cell phone account matches your delivery address. Their online system is widely known to reject the order if anything doesn't match up. If that's the case going to the store on Friday would be the only bet for plan B.

Good luck and Happy Holidays!

That is absolutely correct. It makes no difference.

70+30 = 100
30+70 = 100

At the end both equals 100, nothing gained nothing lost. Be sure you add your local state taxes as that is due during checkout whether online or in store plus your initial down payment amount.

Edit: some people want a smaller monthly payment installment amount due to personal reasons. You can put a huge down payment now and then make small monthly payments for 36 months. I don't know why, because it is financed at 0 cost, there is no actual monetary benefit. But to each their own.

Thanks. I think i can only slightly tolerate shopping at Walmart, online at that. I guess you go in. Do you have to spend the day there if buying multiple phones?

I'd gladly pay someone $100 for that task.
It all depends in your area and how busy your Walmart is. The one near me is usually not that busy but you still have to get there early enough so that you get first dibs at size and color. Otherwise you will have to settle for what is left or wait for new shipments if any new ones come in, as the promo is good from Wednesday to Sunday.

Be sure you call ahead and actually find out if the Walmart you intend to go to has the WARP computer system for cell phone activations beforehand. The smaller less busy Walmarts no longer have the cell phone kiosks to activate and do this promo. You will be wasting your time going to one that can not do activations.

If you are buying multiple phones AND intend to use the e-gift cards to pay down the next phone, yes, prepare to spend some time there as each phone needs to be processed separately after each e-gift card arrives. But if you don't care about that, they can activate all your phones together and you pay the taxes and down payments all in one shot.

For a dummy like me who only uses T-Mobile prepaid and wants to stay on T-Mobile Prepaid, and doesn't wanna do trade-in, can someone check my process here?

1) Go in store to buy Verizon iPhone 15 Pro, activate in-store (what plan should I get), pay full price.
2) Wait for WM GC to arrive.
3) Cancel line within 3 days to get full refund
4) 60 days later iPhone Auto-unlocks (how does it know how to auto unlock if I don't have verizon anymore)?
5) Activate iPhone on T-Mobile
Anyone who knows how to find a cheaper alternative to save money on their phone bills is no dummy. That's why you are able to afford to pay full for your iPhone 15 pro.

Someone already posted that you can't get the WMGC if you don't finance with the carrier, hence my question earlier what's the most we can make as down-payment so we can finance the least amount. If we can do $36 amount financed that's $1 for 36 months and I'm ok to lose that to get $500 WMGC when buying a Samsung S23.

So plan is to go in store and buy an S23 for $600 plus tax etc and get the WMGC email after a few minutes. Then I'll port out on the 3rd day to get the most refund. Then wait for the Verizon bill to come in the mail to pay off the device balance and to make sure the remaining bill is sorted out.
Then just wait 60 days for the phone to automatically unlock. Just turn on your phone from the 59th day and enjoy! 😊

Are the below promotions stackable?
  1. $200 Verizon card for porting in from T-Mobile
  2. Employee discounts? Per line or per account?
  3. Friends & Family discounts? Per line or per account?

If you plan to get two phones in store, you can use the first's GC to pay down the second Smilie Doing it online, you pay the telecom directly not WM GC. I for one dont use WM, so it's gonna be a pain to find a use for those GCs down the line.
