One thing I like about the Gourmia over the Mr Coffee is that the top cup warmer is an aluminum plate instead of the plastic one on the Mr Coffee, but other than that the Mr Coffee seems to be more generally well made (better plastics, more ergonomic features like the pull out elevated drip tray for small cups that the Gourmia doesn't have).
The big design difference that I see is with the portafilter and single/double shot filters. The Mr Coffee seems to have a much more effective design and to be much more well made. The Gourmia portafilter is cheaply cast compared to how the Mr Coffee portafilter is made, and the design of filters is... well I am not sure how the Gourmia stuff going to work well, especially over time. The best way I can explain is to post pics of both side by side to see what I mean.
I still have to clean the new machine and then test it out, I will post back with how it works (if it works, seems 50/50 after reading previous posts here

The manual said after you turn on all the function will show up including clean, however only thing showed up on the control panel is manual espresso and espresso one shot or double shot, doesn't have any other function like capuccino, latte, americano or clean!
I made my first cup of espresso, double shot. Tasted great, I'm impressed! But I will say I'm a novice so...easily impressed. But the machine looks nice, feels nice and seems to work as expected. I'm happy with my 50$ purchase (also ordered one for my daughters apartment in college, they'll love it).
My biggest gripe with it is the grinds get stuck on the bottom of where you insert the grind cup after each use. This causes the machine to leak water and grinds, after you make your coffee so you have to clean that and the insert each time
EDIT: I finished the cleanup, priming, and all of that and made a double espresso, followed by a cappuccino. The single and double cups on the Gourmia are definitely larger than on the Mt Coffee, and it makes a difference in strength for sure, and the taste is a bit more bitter on what comes out of the Gourmia than on the Mr. Coffee. It isn't obnoxious, just not as smooth. Still comparable to what comes from a chain coffee place, and I enjoyed them. Also, the Gourmia instructions say to set frother to "minimum" strength for cappuccino and "maximum" for latte, which is the opposite of how the Mr Coffee recommends. I followed the instructions and there indeed wasn't much froth (I like lots), so I am gonna try again here in a bit adjusted the other way. For those new to these kinds of machines, the frother adjustment is definitely something to play with to see what you enjoy.
Once I have made a few more to get the hand of the dosing on this new one, I will post pics comparing the two machines, including a cappuccino from each. I am not going to be able to sleep for three days, same thing happened when I first got the Mr Coffee

To remove the milk frother container you have to tilt it up slightly before it will disengage and you can remove it.

I made a double espresso using the Illy coffee. Pretty good, no obvious bitterness. Perfect temperature.
After dinner I made a cappuccino with Medaglia D'Oro decaf and it was delicious. More than happy with this and if it lasts a year or two I'll be very pleased.
