Just tested mine and the expresso light is the only one that will light up on the display. Guess I'm returning it

You have to insert the milk container and push it all the way back so it locks in place to get the other lights to come on. Had the same issue.

Same here, returning mine. Not gonna try and replace it... not sure if this is a manufacturing QA issue, or a materials/design/construction issue meaning failure is imminent on some currently functioning ones, but I don't wanna find out... coffee maker MUST be reliable laugh out loud.

Got it. It's good for the price but I guess don't expect much for the price. Feels "cheap", like I will crack the milk or water reservior one day soon, lol. It makes a decent expresso. However, Americano is very watery, I think I have to do the manual mode and just add less water. Doesn't seem very hot. It's Ok, you get what you pay for. Will play around and see what I can tweak/hack. Good starter before I spend $500+ on a real one

Update: I received this last night and made espresso and Americano with this! Pretty good I must say. Its in line with a Delonghi or machines in the $100 range. So Was a great deal for $50. Of course, no idea on the durability, but so far, pretty pleased for the value.

Your Americano was strong? (strong enough) Mine is pretty watery, with 1 or 2 shots. The expresso seems ok. The temperature in my shots seem pretty low so that can be the problem. I will try again and measure the temperature

I was hoping to try it out, even with many receiving flimsy or faulty ones. Instead, though my delivery was returned to the store this weekend, and while at first, they said they would be rescheduling it, now I am told the item was damaged, and my only option was to get a refund. I'm not sure if that means my box might have been flooded or whatever (from those who replied about there being moisture or mold) or if it was the delivery person being sneaky and "returning" it to buy it themselves somehow. It's just frustrating because reordering is no longer an option, and I even had ordered it as shipped, not delivered, as I didn't want to deal with the stores themselves and Walmart delivery people. Besides the refund, I am getting a $10 promotional credit, but it doesn't equal what the actual markdown likely was on that item. I will still likely get the more expensive Mr. Coffee machine at some point, but I don't want to spend $160 on a machine just yet.

Edit: right after posting this, they gave me another discount in addition to the $10 off $15, one for $25 off $45 or more, so at least I'm getting $35 in discounts for the trouble.

Probably just a dropped package where there was obvious damage. Things are pretty crazy this time of year and deliveries can get beat up or knocked around in the rush. Some drivers would probably just kick it up the driveway and deliver it anyway, but some conscientious drivers likely mark it to be returned if there's obvious damage or sounds broken, etc.

Still seem to be available in-store around me, but oos for shipping. Something to check into if you haven't yet.

edit : it is very small sample size so might be just coincidence, but the few people that I know that bought this and had it shipped to them have had the frother not working issue. People that have bought in-store or picked up in-store seem to have got good units.

WTH Walmart, placed an order for the air fryer on Nov 22nd, received an email from Walmart on Nov25th saying order delayed, and then today order canceled as out of stock. I could have bought elsewhere, but now all the deals are gone.

I'm just trying to see if I use an espresso fine grind or a regularly coffee grind for this machine.
"Just a Dad" uses a medium grind or pre ground coffee for it. Any tips?

The Espresso grinds that you can buy are for pressurized filter baskets so would work fine in this machine. Coarser grinds (like those in K-Cups) would work as well. If you want more rich flavor, Espresso grinds would be better.

i bought both machines and picked up the espresso maker at the store. i'm wondering why the machine has to froth the milk before dispensing the espresso? it would look better if it made the espresso first.
