Was anyone able to get rid of the "Plastic Taste/Smell"? I ran over 10 cleanings and the water still taste/smell like plastic.
try adding 2 tps of vinegar, and run clean water after

I got one of the wet/moldy ones. Has anyone contacted Gourmia's customer service for a solution? Walmart is OOS so a replacement isn't available.

Mine has started to leak through the espresso nozzle whenever I turn on the machine. I contacted Gourmia customer support. They are shipping me a new machine. You can call them at 888 552 0033.

Both cappuccino and latte are mixed with excessive water because of the frother. Does anyone feel the same?

espresso machine looks nice and is simple to use. heats up fast, makes coffee fast. milk frother works. easy to set up and clean. i bought some cheap cafe bustelo so that i had the correct grind size and it is definitely not very good tasting but i am eager to try it out with better beans if i can get an adequate grinder

i've used mine for a few times to make lattes and capaccinos and they come out tasting great. the bad reviews on walmart must be coming from people who are not inserting the milk basket correctly. maybe some of the customers are just dense when they could just call gourmia for assistance instead.

Just noticed that someone posted a $40 electronic burr grinder in another thread. Don't know anything about it, but looks like it gets decent reviews, although some complaints about being noisy, which I wouldn't think would be a huge deal for most looking at a fairly cheap grinder.

We just can't get the froth dialed in correctly. Feels like the dial doesn't do much for our unit. According to what I saw, dial clockwise to minimum froth, correct?

it's clockwise to max froth. there's a plus indicating that. dial all the way to the left for minimum froth.

I'll give it try. According to all the videos we saw It was the opposite, so the negative at the top of the tank is pointing clockwise and vise versus. Like it was counter intuitive.

Yep … it's all the way counter-clockwise for maximum froth. The video that was posted previously (link below) demonstrates how he overflows the cup when he sets it fully counter-clockwise. Also, if you look closely at the markings (pic attached), there's a minus sign at the fully counter-clockwise position, but it has an arrow indicating to turn the dial clockwise for less froth (a rather confusing way of marking it).

It sounds like you may have a bad one though, as someone else mentioned something similar with one that just really didn't change the way it should.

Not gonna keep mine; I prefer my coffee a lot hotter. Also the reservoirs are too big and wasteful for mostly single servings of latte or americano every now and then. I'm in Orange County, CA if anyone missed out and wants to take it off my hands before I return it. PM me.

On my machine, I'm not sure that the knob even matters. It produces plenty of froth no matter where the knob is set. My first unit produced no froth no matter where i set the knob. It produced only hot steamed milk.

The coffee from the machine tastes pretty good. But quality control on this product has been atrocious.
